1	Psychology Today: Masculinity is not the problem You absolutely have a point! Imho the woman's preference for a strong, overly confident man is what has fueled overly toxic masculinity. I think everyone can agree the male tyrant exists, physically and emotionally. Frankly, it comes from women supporting these traits initially. I think you are also slightly misrepresenting American hate. In the last year things are significantly (and rightfully) more anti American. The guilt or shame associated with historical white patriarchy isn't going away any time soon in America. It can be a negative punishment, or we can try a few more positively framed ideas.
