Marriage is a partnership. When you go into it, prepare to divide all assets equally when it ends or don't do it at all. In the case of many homemakers or part-time homemakers this labor is considered into the equation. If you don't like it talk to your state reps, until then this is the law in most states.

Yes, women DO make less than men. In the case of my friends who pay palimony they were working full-time and their husbands part-time out of the home and part time caring for their children. Again, it is not the 80's and laws have changed.

Women DO have to pay half of their earnings, quite often. Two of my best friends are paying palimony now and split half their assets with their ex's. That"s the reality if you want to get married. It is 50/50 now. This isn't the 80's.

You have a bunch of women letting you know the truth right here. Pay attention, just because you have no ill intentions doesn't mean your fellow men don't.

We do that because many men react so terribly to rejection that it becomes a safety issue.

OMG no!!!! No questions about money. Are you trolling? Anyone with manners would be so offended by these questions.

Ok, but why do women have to feel any guilt or hesitation about having beauty standards for their partner? Far more men than women expect to be paired with an attractive mate. And beautiful women are very often negged by their less attractive male partners about looks. I'm female and have many coventionally attractive women friends. Without fail, the beautiful ones are routinely more criticized than the average ones.

Even of he could, he shouldn't. I dated a man 15 years my senior starting when i was 23. When i look back on that relationship i see so much imbalance in the power structure. He also took 5 years of my young life and offered me no future. Many of my friends did the same thing and we all regret it. Basically, men who chronically date women much younger than themselves often do it because an older wiser woman would not put up with their behavior.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
