Just letting everyone know I will get a lawyer. My issue here is if I want to adjust the documents I fear it may affect the court date and cost my wife what she put down in earnest money for this new house. Even if I feel entitled to and go after more money for myself, I don't want to damage her that badly and have no idea what to do. My wife has tried to be transparent with her conversation to her lawyer, with her bank statements and so on. She showed me that she's really spending virtually all…

It was "deviated" to 0, if that makes any difference. I think she will have custody of him more than I will, admittedly, just because she will have a more flexible schedule. I'm not sure if that's a boat I want to rock. All the other stuff sure, but if I decide I want alimony, for example, she will surely make the case that she will have the child more and be a better provider.

Supply chain. She has a fancier title and is moving into a senior position but that's the short of it

I heard you may have to prove you were under like direct threat of bodily harm to use duress, but regardless I think my bigger issue is that even if I want to change something it will affect the court date and this will lose the house she was planning to buy and cost her the 17k she put down in earnest to basically reserve the house and take it off the market. Even if I want to dig a little deeper in her pockets to help myself, I don't necessarily want to do her that dirty. I feel like I might c…

Right lol. It seemed like just enough to prevent my from digging further, even if that wasn't her intention. Appears to be accepted by court since there's a date but we signed on our own. I wasn't sure how child support would pan out because she would admittedly be watching our son more than me, the paperwork reflects 50/50 but if I open this can of worms I'm sure she'll try to modify a lot. I'll check in with a lawyer, I guess I just feel guilty about potentially screwing her up with the house

Yeah that seemed odd to me. I even asked why I wasn't consulted or there wasn't a mediator. I really hate the way this was handled, even if the document doesn't look particularly shady. I've tried to salvage the marriage, our communication seems like it got 100% better recently, and we even talked about why things seemed to have slowly grinded down between us but ultimately I don't think she feels I'm responsible enough. I sort of see where she coming from but didn't think it warranted a separat…

With there already being a court date rapidly approaching, do you know if anything can quickly be modified on the contract without moving the date?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
