Another issue with confidence being such a supposedly-desirable trait for women is the way it is interpreted. If a guy women find sexually attractive acts confident, he will be rewarded. Even a douchebro's bad actions will be interpreted as mythical confidence. However, a guy who women find unattractive for any reason(physical, financial well-being, social-status, etc) can act the exact same way as the aforementioned guys, except his actions will be interpreted as "creepy" or "overcompensation" …
