I think feminism belongs to some of the many minor reasons why nuclear families are on the decline. I think the main reason being recent major financial instability with 2008 crash and now Covid-19, with slugish growth of the economy in the middle. But that happened in my opinion for a good reason. A lot of the marriages were abusive, and are good they ended. And there are studies, and I won't take a side here, that show that it's better for the parents to be seperated IF the parents were no longer romantically interested in each other anyway. Also I would like to point out that it seems that most single mothers are not on welfare. From the article below it seems that 48.5% of custodial mothers received some form of government assistance in 2015.
