I don't argue that we shouldn't call it circumcision. As I understand it circumcision is the term for the procedure itself, whilst Male Genital Mutilation is the term for any violence enacted upon a male's genitalia, in which many MRAs (including myself) include circumcision if it is done without the informed consent of the patient. The only other use of circumcision is in extreme cases of phimosis(spelling?). One of my childhood friends was circumcised because his foreskin was nearly entirely closed and caused great discomfort. Religion is not a good enough reason to justify genital mutilation.

I suppose that most of the time in Male circumcision the actual head of the penis is not cut off (as is the custom with the clitoris in female circumcision).
