It's not exactly a grounded film, and there's naturally the caveat of the woman being into him from the jump, but the first character that comes to mind for me in Antonio Banderas in the first Zorro remake. Like I said Catherine Zeta-Jones is into him when they first meet, but I think his character really captures the art of flirting well with her. That said you're probably never going to get to sword fight flirt with a lady in a barn, but the point stands.

That could certainly be true. I'm not a pickup artist by any means. I also don't really subscribe to working within a specific angle of hooking em, or being mysterious, or anything like that. Admittedly this is something I'm actively working on too, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but what I've been trying to do is interrupt those kinds of thoughts with more productive ones. When my mind starts telling me "you'll be seen as a creep", "she's busy, don't bother her", I try to tell myself "no, she wants to talk to you", "if she approached you, even if you didn't vibe, wouldn't you be happy about it still". I know I'm just a stranger on Reddit but I'm proud of you! Life is hard as it is, and it's even harder when you're overweight (I've been there too).
