You’re placing your beliefs on a society in the past and ignoring the facts of the situation because it makes you uncomfortable to admit you’re wrong. If this is how you are going to be, why have an opinion? Why discuss? You clearly lack the ability to talk about this reasonably in any way.

Literally has nothing to do with the topic but sure. Go be deluded on your own.

Way to completely ignore every point because you can’t read past 250 characters. Your point was throughly proven wrong and your best counter comes down to “ya but I feel it’s that way”. You’re a pathetic troll and need to be reported at this point. You don’t discuss anything in good faith.

Women against suffrage and equality was by no means an exception. For a long time it was the majority and the norm. Even by 1920 and the passing of the amendment, it still couldn’t be said that the majority of women supported it. It was a contested issue with men AND woman on both sides in large numbers until long after the amendment passed. At no point have I said women didn’t have to put in a lot of effort to change that position. Men DID give women the right to vote. Women had no voice on the…

That’s not how that works… even to this day. The vast majority of crime and violence is not planned. It’s in the moment stupidity and raised emotions. If two people are in a bar and get drunk and in an argument and they fight, that’s generally not because they hate each other on a deep level. It’s because they’re drunk and being stupid. The majority of rapes and SAs are the same. It’s people in the moment making selfish and horrible decisions. To attribute every murder and rape to a general hatr…

Yes. And your very argument is that they didn’t want to. It’s exactly the gotcha I think it is. Women did not fight an apocalyptic battle for rights against men. It was a movement to be treated as equals with many agreeing and eventually a majority of men voting for it. They overcame a majority of women who didn’t agree with the idea AND a majority of men. The women’s rights movement and the ability to vote was not some immediate and hard switch that every woman agreed with. Some of the biggest …

Believe it or not, yes, that’s not the case. Rapists and murderers do not go around stating they have hatred of women. They do those crimes for reasons in their own minds. Not out of general hatred. That’s not to say a very small few might not be that way, but for the vast majority their reasons do not lie in a broader hate. That’s not a defense of their actions but a reality you and many others need to accept. That’s not misogyny. It’s humans being assholes because humans can be that way.

Even in your own argument it was literally men who gave them. None of what you said mattered unless the voters of the time, ie MEN, voted to do so. Women did not rise up with violence and forcibly take the rights and equality owed to them. Society changed and both genders had their part in pushing towards that further equality. Modern feminists continually acting like it was the some women only effort with no men involvement is laughably disingenuous.

Lmao. You can’t even stay on point anymore. The last CENTURY. Weird. Crazy how that doesn’t relate whatsoever to an argument on how things currently are. Seriously. Get over yourself and admit you’re wrong. It’s getting more ridiculous as this goes on. I slam your point down and instead of addressing it, you pivot immediately. It’s pathetic.

Ah yes. Because men in film just love being shirtless and flexing. There’s no other reason that happens other than sex appeal to women/gay men/anyone attracted to that. That’s something that happens in basically every blockbuster out there. As for advertising, it’s already used in products oriented to women the same way it’s used in products oriented towards men. The more you speak, the more it sounds like you’re whining that your specific kinks/ideations aren’t being catered to instead of about…

The issue is far more the reverse. More women need to accept the death of femininity and chivalry and embrace modern equality in more aspects for the situation to resolve. The reason men cling to the hierarchy and the standard is because at the end of the day… women do. There have been many studies that have shown women prioritize men who make more than them. Men who are masculine. A man opening up emotionally has statistically caused more issues than not. That is not to say a large group of wom…

“Either we abolish porn or we make the content distribution equal, which it isn't currently. Men are catered to en mass and women's porngraphy is an underground railroad of ideas and fantasy.” This was your quote that started this. Your points simply do not match and you are changing your argument and trying to straw man instead of admitting your point was wrong. I have never said women don’t have interest in sexual content. The topic of this post and what you specifically said, was porn though.…

It’s a discussion post in a subreddit dedicated to topics like that. While I can’t see that myself and have found my tastes aging with myself (albeit somewhat faster really. MILFs are underrated), I find the extremely obvious and very common hypocrisy of the viewpoint to be worth talking about. Putting aside women dating younger entirely for a moment, the amount of women going after literal children and then getting slaps on the wrist is actually insane. Female teachers going after their underag…

Women centric porn has been a thing for decades. If women as a consumer base were willing to spend money on it at a level equal to men, it would have grown far larger than it has. OF, home videos, and small productions focusing mostly on a male audience to this day only further proves that point. The issue is not a lack of women centric porn. It’s a lack of interest of female consumers for buying that type of porn. The reasons for why can be any number of things, but the fact they aren’t doing i…

That might have been a possibly argument decades ago, but it’s been thoroughly disproven. OF and home videos have been easy to make and have a low barrier to entry. Women focused porn exists. It’s just not as popular as it doesn’t sell as well. Women statistically do not buy porn in the same ways as men or on the same scale. The nature of the industry and capitalism in general would mean that if it was profitable enough, it would expand. It’s the size it is because that’s the amount that can be …

Women are no better than men. We are all humans, and every group of humans has fringe elements. It’s how it’s always been. Your immediate defensiveness over such an obvious and neutral claim is quite frankly absurd. It only shows just how far down the rabbit hole you yourself have fallen. Have a more open mind filled with less hate or you’ll live a miserable life.

Just because more jobs have been created does not mean jobs are not zero sum. There is no sharing a job. There is no sharing a college admission. There’s no sharing most opportunities. It’s either you get it or you don’t. If you get it, someone else(many people more often than not) doesn’t. Just because the number of those opportunities has risen over time doesn’t mean it’s not still zero sum overall.

Rights no, but jobs yes. Many men lost jobs they would have had. That’s not a bad thing as meritocracy is for the best, but it very much is zero sum. If someone takes the job you want, you don’t have it. If someone gets the scholarship you want, you don’t have it. There’s only so many jobs and opportunities. There’s a reason why workers rights/wages has been failing/falling ever since women started entering the workforce in increasing numbers. So many surplus workers means companies can offer le…

The amount of toxic women is roughly equal to toxic men. Just because your feeds are throwing you into a rabbit hole doesn’t mean that’s actually the case. Both genders have increasingly large groups of toxic insanity. If you can see the women equivalent, it’s either because you aren’t looking, you are part of it, or you lack of awareness makes you unable to tell the difference. Many men are an issue. So are many women.

That has less to do with her being a woman and more the job qualifications. A CEO having an affair is a bad mark, but their job is not specifically about that. There is job history to fall back on at the worst case. HR however exists exclusively to protect the company from things like what the head of HR got caught doing. It would be like a if a Lawyer got caught breaking the law or a doctor started advocating for bleeding as a treatment. Their professional credibility would be severely damaged …

I’m sorry but your clearly insane obsession about this clouds your ability to understand basic fact. It’s literally every statistic. If you’re up to actually think the average man is better off in literally any metric in 1919, you need SEVERE mental help. If you’re up to were sent back to 1919, you’d still be a poor average smuck with almost no control in their life. The simple fact of the matter is if your share of a pizza decreases from 100 to 50%, but the pizza increases in size by a factor o…

No, you aren’t. If you are, your words and defenses have not been consistent. This was never a discussion as to if men are losing some power. Yes, they are. That’s not a question anyone can argue against. Whether or not someone likes that is personal and not the point of this topic nor what you said when you started this. This conversation started with you bringing up the fact that things were better in 1919 than they are today for men. They weren’t. At all. To say otherwise is to delude yoursel…

If you’re seriously arguing that pathetic extra bit outweighs everything else, you’re a lunatic with an obsession.

Except by every proven metric, you’re wrong about your own value as well. You as an average man did not have more power in 1919. If you were married you had a bit more power”privilege” over your wife, but that’s a minor amount and overall 99% of your life and “authority” was a joke. Power and authority was in the hands of the rich and powerful. Not the “pathetic” worker class of the 99.99%.

Your obsession is showing through. Your point was that it was better in 1919 for men. By essentially every metric possible, it’s dramatically better today. The lost things do not have relevance to that point. If your point was that COULD things be better, then yes. The answer to if things could be better is basically yes about everything everytime that question is asked by anyone. But between 2026 and 1919, most people living in 2026 is living a life that the richest of 1919 would envy if it was…

You’re not entirely wrong. You can’t change people who don’t want to be changed. It almost never works. But you can find efforts and programs that analyze why decisions by groups were made and make effort to slow down them. You can fund therapy/outreach programs dealing with that group. The North did not simply segregate the entirety of the South after the Civil war. While by no means a complete fix, there have been continual efforts to reduce racism and promote equality. Most of the men who fal…

You listed things that for about 95% of men amounted to essentially nothing. You obsess over a sense of control that was granted to the lessers by the people actually in charge and capable of doing things. No matter what the topic, the living standards of people today are so much higher than 1919 that any comparison is laughably ignorant. To say men lost something isn’t necessarily wrong. To say that men were better off beforehand is entirely wrong.

Society is losing a lot. Whether you agree with the group or not, large groups of unworking people, especially in the current demographic situation is not sustainable and is particularly detrimental. Their views simply don’t matter in this case. Their lack of participation makes it harder for every other individual participating and many other influences are coalescing to make that ever harder at the same time. If you disagree with whatever views that group has, that’s fine, but that just means …

Yes, but how was that better for the average man? Throughout all of history, unless you were amongst the rich/well off men, you were essentially insignificant and powerless. The same as today.

Wildly popular would be a stretch. 100k is definitely mainstream though.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 03:36 PM

Just because they are dissimilar in almost every way does not mean the group and how the movement and society view them can’t be compared. The same thing applies if to a much lesser extent. Not every Nazi was a horrible person. Many were stupid average people who just got in line. Many realized what was happening and tried to change things. Schindler was a Nazi party official. He saved many lives. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t affected by the overall societal hatred of the Nazis. Feminism isn’t de…

Exactly! But it’s because acknowledging the rest would be to a call to action that may be uncomfortable and have slight short term conflict/hurt to their interests, ignoring any long term effects it will create.

There are some who do that. A small minority. Let’s not kid ourselves that the majority of any of the groups I mentioned call out the extreme it’s elements of their own group and push them out on any consistent basis. None of them do. Liberals don’t. Conservatives don’t. The church doesn’t. Police don’t. They let the toxic elements inside their group stay because they agree on a lot of issues and it always comes down to “us vs them”.

This isn’t bad faith. Pointing out the conservative hypocrisy (and liberal hypocrisy) only further proves the point. It’s the same issue that’s present in a vast number of things. Police and the “only a few bad apples” argument faces the same issue. You can’t moralize, generalize, and or grand stand if you don’t call out the hypocrisy of those inside your own movement. Public opinion will inevitably begin to associate the entirety of the group with those extremist elements the group refuses to c…
