2	Staying social while commuting to college? I'm in my sophomore year in college, and I have been commuting since the first day. Expanding my social circle has helped immensely as a commuter, I've done so by getting to know everyone in my classes and whomever else I might talk to(at the school pub, waiting in line for coffee etc). Joining clubs and playing sports is a fantastic idea too, you'll make friends very easily and be doing something you all mutually enjoy.
