If you go over to his house and it’s clean, organized, and doesn’t smell like a frat house. Fridge with real, healthy food in it. Dish ware- not red apple cups and paper plates.

Hey friend! It’s great that your husband has such a grounded wife who can recognize that his past plays a role in what’s going on now :) It sounds like you’re up for compromise and don’t give him hard no’s, unless necessary. If you’re terribly bored and want to check out some of my comment history on this sub, you’re welcome to. I grew up in foster care with two alcoholic/drug addicted parents and was severely neglected. It’s definitely effected me as an adult, but I’ve come out on the other end…

Hey there! Skincare specialist here! I’ve spent alottt of time in the beauty/health industry (taking a break right now) but I can give you some tips if they fit in your budget… Working out regularly isn’t just got for weight. It keeps your skin plump and luminous. Drinking bone broth is VERY helpful at any age, especially 28+. I was using Vital Proteins for a couple of years and got a bigger place. Started making homemade bone broth and drink it 3-4x a week. Huge difference. Guys will typically …

Ok good! I know sometimes things come across weird on text 🙂 A good friend of mine’s family owns a cattle ranch. It’s given her an incredibly fulfilling life. That’s such a blessing! Your kids will look back on memories there fondly, I’m sure 🙂

I’m talking about in general- not dating subs. I wouldn’t say the majority of women have that mindset. Men tend to not care at all about the financial aspect women bring to the table. Many of the women on here and in real life have adopted the RPW mindset on many aspects of their lives. In my personal experience with family and women I’ve worked with, even the high earners, I wouldn’t say it’s the norm. Men tend to crave providing for a wife and family. The population seems to be swinging back t…

I’m glad you’re happy too! I wanted a solid retirement plan and ability to have more freedom, especially with how difficult my childhood was. When I was in my 20’s, there were many times I barely had food on the table. My shoes were worn through and working 2-3 jobs at times was absolutely miserable. If anything catastrophic happens, I have absolutely 0 family to fall back on. My husbands parents chose to stay in very low income situations and can’t even afford to stay in a hotel if they come vi…

I know it’s hard! We’re only human. My previous job was as a skincare specialist. The vast majority of people I worked with were women who constantly complained. The best bosses I had were male. What set them apart was the majority of the women were high strung and always complained or blamed someone else for something. The guys were pretty straightforward and a bit more care free (for those wondering, the guys were owners of the spas or in management when I worked as a paralegal). I simply just…

Totally agree. I made a long comment on another post on this sub about this. I personally (I grew up in poverty and spent most of my 20’s in low class housing) wanted a provider who was top 10%. Thankfully, I was married this year to a top 1% man and don’t just sit around all day eating bonbons. Even if your husband is making $50,000, absolutely ALL men are programmed to look. You need to have depth and something else going for you besides your looks. Loyalty, kindness, and not being a complaine…

Absolutely! We met on Catholic Match! We’re deeply navigating our faith- he grew up Baptist and converted a year before we met! But the struggle between Catholicism and my Scottish Protestant heritage has always been hard for me. I’m happy and open to pray and read the Bible with him nightly. And thanks for your reply! It’s been a hard road and I’m so incredibly blessed. God is great! 100000% agree on the photos. I’m not a fainting Victorian virgin in 1820 but I’m also not dressed like a hooker.…

Ina Garten’s Lemon Capellini! I add sausage to mine and put it on top of a bed of arugula for green! You can easily do chicken, salmon, etc.! I cook all the time and I promise- it doesn’t have to be a chore!

Read edit at the end of my paragraph if you want: Hi! 33 year old here who just got married this spring to a provider. I spent my childhood in a low class foster care home and my late teens and early 20’s barely scraping by. Sometimes I didn’t know what my next meal would be. I was SO OVER it and knew when I got into the dating pool after a LTR that I wanted a guy who was a provider. I found an amazing Christian man who makes mid-six figures, is in the same religion as me, and is kind. On my pro…

Dear Lord, I’m sorry. How was it a waste? Sounds like it was a good backup plan. Also, if (God forbid) something happens to your husband, you have a degree. I have an esthetician license and worked in the field for a decade before meeting my husband. If anything, it’s PRUDENT of you to have an actual degree to fall back on if needed. I’m not saying to be $100,000 in debt, but having a degree and choosing to stay at home isn’t a waste! Don’t feel pressured to respond to stupid comments about your…

How do the conversations go? Like, how are they pushing you? I’m 33 too 🙂 and just married a very high earner. Top 5%. He’s kind, generous, and I really love him. I’m working until I have children, hoping to get pregnant soon. After that, it makes no sense for me to be a working wife/mom. Even though he’s a high earner, there is 0 harm in having a part time job for a bit of extra spending money or just for fun for my beauty routine. But it never effects my cleaning and working out. All the women…

We’ve been together since may of 2021, got engaged in May 2023, and the wedding is in April of 2023 :) Between prior work commitments, his parents schedule, and us moving, April was the earliest option.

Congrats on your engagement 🙂 Bridal showers and bachelorette parties are for the women. Engagement parties are co-ed. Engagement parties are co-ed because it’s in honor of the bride AND groom. I’m getting married in April of 2023. We got engaged this past May. Because of logistics, travel, etc. my maid of honor threw an early bachelorette party last weekend because all of my friends were in town. She and my FMIL are throwing an engagement party, which will be this fall. It’s understandable why …
