This is also a mostly modern problem because of the intrusion of women into mens spaces. Used to be a man could easily get good social interaction down at the bar, or a social club of some stripe (like an actual social club, not a strip club).

To be entirely fair male circimcision is quite a bit less...gruesome than female circumcision. Comparing cutting out the clitoris and most of the pleasure nerve feeling parts to cutting off a flap of skin is not quite the same.

The entire thing is predicated on her encountering a guy on the street who recognized her who she thought was her rapist. The police then say this guy was seen in the area, except it's not the guy she saw cause she doesn't even accurately pick him out of the lineup. The lineup wasn't even about picking out the guy from her memory of the rape but her memory of the street encounter.

Except she also picked an entirely different guy in the police lineup and yet she still went along with the whole thing and then wrote about it in her memoir that he was the guy. She should have said something but she has also refused to say anything about how she got a man wrongfully convicted.
