Run. As someone who didn’t have your integrity or discernment, it leads nowhere good. I was perfectly happy with occasional casual flings with others before getting caught up in a similar dynamic, about 8 months out of my separation.

Some for sure. Plenty of exceptions though

Focus on building yourself up primarily. banging younger hotter ladies definitely helps as well.

Yes 100%. I had the same doubts immediately post-divorce, thankfully she had the courtesy of making her interest beyond obvious.

She just dissociated and wouldn’t engage the topic at all.

It’s a woman’s flowery way of saying she’s not interested. It sucks but you’re young, you’ll eventually find another relationship far more fulfilling than this one trust me. When shit gets rough in the short term channel those feelings into self improvement

Ehh the dying wife would be far worse. Jfc don’t let the hardships you’ve gone through turn you into a sociopath

And there’s an inverse relationship between how in shape you are and the money you need to piss away on clothes & other ornamentals. Unless that’s your thing. No compromise on hygiene tho of course.

Conveniently forgetting to include stats about abuse by new boyfriends/husbands

No not at all, he helped the process along if anything. I let him know he had nothing to worry about as long as he never came near my kids (I have full custody), or my home. Since he didn’t violate those recommendations, I have no ill will against him.

Appreciate the inspiration as someone who’s only a few months into the divorce process and at a negative net worth atm

Nothing wrong with women being status climbers, but not interested personally. The ppl who run the show are insane, and wanting to position yourself close to them is a red flag. Unless of course you’re doing it for a short time to grab resources and pivot to something more meaningful and productive.

I’ve been an atheist my whole adult life, however most religious organizations are not the ass-end of their respective extremism spectrums. TBH secular materialists are plenty “religious” whether they are aware of it or not.

Or die pushing a mop since by then many of our desks will become digital due to the ever increasing downward pressure on labor from upon high

Wild! I like tattoos but not a huge fan of the cosmetic surgery racket. Unfortunately I don’t have any good suggestions except maybe to passport bro it? Tho that’s not my cup of tea personally

Yea I I don’t know what I’m talking about. I also grew up in the hood like this dime piece of an OP but I still like tatted up women even post divorce, so I’ve really got nothing to offer here. The trad wife shit is cringe anyway when you think about it

I love older women, natural ones though, not like the overly done up xanny-wine moms reliving high school. they’re repulsive.

Many good points here. I’d add too, in the US at least, there’s a strong mainstream cultural current that actively encourages this. I’m no expert, but im guessing it has its origins in our consumption based, dopamine driven culture + esoteric academic ideas like the nuclear family is oppressive etc.

You said “gym” but I highly recommend boxing gym. Or Muay Thai. Great outlet, plus excellent camaraderie

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
