Maybe don’t worry about ideologies. I’m done adhering to shit that doesn’t align with my values.

Okay, so currently you have a view and paradigm of sexual relationships and courting that is not helpful. The next step is realizing that you need to develop a new, helpful paradigm. Competition anxiety can be a very paralyzing feeling. I think switching the competition from “me vs. everyone else” to “self-improvement” with ACTIONABLE, MEASURABLE, and REALISTIC goals would possibly be expedient to your path.

They are tough to engage. There is no feasible way to change someone’s mind if they are rigid in terms of thought or closed-minded. Those aren’t the ones you really want to engage in discourse with, generally. I’m just sticking to my morals and values at this point and that’s the best I can do.

Once you've had sex a few dozen times, it ceases to be a big deal. At this point, I dont even find it fun anymore. You’re doing it wrong, bud. In all seriousness, if you ever want to have a lasting impact or invoke positive change in these communities you’ll have to reserve your judgments and understand the place that incels are coming from in order to help those communities understand their own issues and misgivings. Judgment provides nothing but your own virtue signaling and pride. Put it asid…

There would be a way to measure this, likely trait openness; however, it's really not worth considering IMO and I highly doubt there's a whole lot of correlation to be found here. Beyond that, this begs the question of what does this knowledge do for us?

Try assessing your values and writing down your fears, resentments, insecurities. Sit with them for a while and get back to us when you stop rationalizing and intellectualizing all of your insecurities.

Both sides are victims imo. Men are the victim of ideological subversion, demoralization, lost sense of self, and devaluation before and during recovery. Women are victim of abuse, and frankly, more than I can attest to in red pill relationships. There’s a lot of difference in the way they should be treated because the recovery processes are different for both parties. I will say that I am worried that it may turn into a blame game of men falling for the red pill (especially when men are in reco…

Personality matters insofar as the man in question interacts with the woman enough that she can get a genuine read on his personality. Short answer - yes. It matters, a lot; it matters more, the more you interact with the woman.

I understand where you are coming from but I find that view to be a bit reductionist. There is nuance. In a large majority of cases, narcissism and any other dark triad traits stem from childhood trauma and neglect. To add on to your point though, I think that responsibility and maturation would help red pill men greatly.

We will never be able to inoculate society without first educating it on why exactly it is that people first turn to the red pill to begin with; unfortunately for some, that takes understanding and empathy.

There's a lot of overlap between Borderline Personality Disorder and people with extensive histories of trauma and neglect; many psychiatrists and trauma professionals are arriving at a conclusion that BPD as a diagnosis does not aid in treatment of the underlying issues, which are almost always related to trauma and neglect. The red pill as an ideology targets and preys on (typically bitter, resentful) men who have had trouble dating women with troubled pasts; however, it frames gender psychology and dating dynamics in an unhealthy way, but coins these unhealthy paradigms as 'uncomfortable truths.' As if it's a bitter pill to swallow, because it's 'medicine'. It's an ideology that appeals to logos, but not pathos or ethos. Even then, it's terribly flawed logically. You dated someone with a troubled past.

Because this is a subreddit for people who formerly were under the grasp of the ideology. Now it’s just overrun with a hivemind of people shitting on the ones who are still sucked into the toxicity, rather than providing a healthy platform for people to escape. I don't think the Red Pill did it. I think the ideology preyed upon your pre-existing insecurities and fears, and those are the root problem. I think it can be beneficial for people with fears and resentments to journal about them, but also journal about gratitude. Gratitude helps a lot. I would definitely recommend seeing a therapist or psychologist.

As I said, it often stems from a place of trauma and neglect which can even come from childhood attachments and parenting styles in the household among many other factors. It slowly develops from a desire to be desired by women, contempt, and superiority from a place of manipulative ego-driven attachment. Many incels and redpillers can come across as saying that they deserve sex. We all know that this isn’t the case, but safety, love, and sex are very important for most people. Especially for th…

Really, none of these responses in my opinion address the crux of the issue - the issue is the weakness that led them to be open to the ideology to begin with: Insecurities, trauma, and neglect. The ideology preys on young men who have been hurt in past relationships, have never had relationships, or feel vindictive towards women in general, projecting their shortcomings onto others. The ideology is one that uses a thin veil of tenets for a man to cultivate masculinity, control over his own life…

Oh dude the “text only for logistics” advice is the worst you can possibly use. That sets off so many red flags and alarms for girls. Most girls on online dating will wait 2-3 weeks to meet you while talking periodically. If they are consistently dry over text or leave you on read, on to the next. Having expectations about sex and interest is not good at all.

Labeling it as such is negative imo. Try to process it and understand why you have the urge to put them on a pedestal. Is it from a place of fear; that if you don’t, they won’t love/want you?
/r/ExRedPill27/06/20 08:44 AM

That whole 'oneitis' phrase used in PUA lingo is a bunch of fucking garbage. It's normal to have a crush on a singular person if you're wanting a meaningful relationship, man. You should never shame yourself or guilt yourself over something like feeling affection towards another person. The real reason why they use that term so strongly is so that men are aware of when they are putting someone on a pedestal and throwing away their self-respect, that is the most important distinction here.

I’m mostly playing devil’s advocate because I’m passionate about language and the language used throughout this conversation doesn’t sit very well with me. That’s all. I think we’re all probably on the same page but just aren’t getting our points across well enough.
/r/seduction21/04/20 03:17 PM

I just think that some of the rhetoric stated in this subreddit is perfectionistic and can be harmful to some people. I don’t think it’s impossible at all to say “Aw shit, oh well,” in response to your edit on your other message.
/r/seduction21/04/20 03:01 PM

It’s an implication in love vs. hate. Let’s not get into an argument of pedantics, this conversation is already devolving.
/r/seduction21/04/20 02:48 PM

I mean it’s cool to process it however you want, but to say that rejection doesn’t affect you in any way is absurd, even if you’re a full-blown psychopath. It’s just not the way we work, consciously or unconsciously.
/r/seduction21/04/20 02:11 PM

I’m not sure if that’s humanly possible. It’s possible to work on it, but I don’t know a single person who has achieved that, and the only ones who claim they have are either Internet personalities or are in deep denial about themselves. I think that it’s just important to not have all of your self esteem based off of success with women. It should definitely come from other places, as a strong majority.
/r/seduction21/04/20 01:46 PM
9

Yeah, so the thing with The Red Pill is that it takes advantage of a person’s vulnerable affinity for black and white thinking: (i.e. if you are not alpha, you are beta. If you are beta, you are not alpha, etc.). I am not saying that some things in TRP warrant thought or are completely invalid, but I think overall it is unhealthy as a community and as an ideology. The dichotomy of attractive behaviors between Alpha and Beta is far more nuanced in terms of favorable behaviors than two simple word…

This is a bit of an ignorant post IMO. There are many different modalities and therapies that can be used in psychotherapy. There’s not just one approach, even though CBT is the most common nowadays. Funnily enough, CBT is actually pretty great for ex-redpill because its aim is to mitigate cognitive distortions and unhealthy biases. Core identity can be helped in therapy too.

My point is that sometimes people don’t know how to do things specifically for themselves rather than for validation, it’s a learning process - especially for those with low self esteem.
/r/seduction08/04/19 04:47 AM

I don’t really think it matters why he starts doing something, as opposed to realizing later on why it’s beneficial aside from attracting women. That’s how it starts out of most people, anyways. Most people don’t start out picking heavy shit up and putting it down just for funsies. Just get started for whatever reason that motivates you and realize the benefits. Wouldn’t really be high self-esteem if it only stemmed from external validation, would it?
/r/seduction08/04/19 01:36 AM

Instead of blaming your looks, look at other things you can change. Unless you have acne, bad hair, and are scrawny. Take care of those. It’s obvious to me that your self esteem could use a boost, as that’s what really reels the ladies in. Confidence and style paired together are like a fucking magnet.
