Yeah, cheating can be devastating. This happened to my good friend. Her husband was distant and cheating on her for a long time with multiple people. They had kids and everything. It blew up her world. It’s definitely hard when someone destroys your trust.

That just like, your opinion, man! 😂 Sorry you feel condescended to start with. You came out the gate pretty hot, if you ask me. Anyway, I’m getting off this little merry-go-round. Good luck out there, my dude.

You’d do a better job trying to be condescending if you know what you’re talking about.

Nice try, my dude. You made a open ring statement about objective reality and then a text-book definition subjective statement. Good luck in class.

Sounds like you’ve really gone through it. I never said dating is easy. I could prefer a lot of other situations for you to consider, but that’s not what I’m trying to do here. Good luck. I’d be happy to give you dating advice - DM me if you’re actually serious and not trying to make a point. But now I have to go make some din din with my dude.

Your experiences are empirical and objective in their singularity, but not enough to make a correlation about women as a whole & “becoming” slackers. I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences, but your statement was still subjective.

I hear you. I’m sorry you feel frustrated by this. I will say, even in your statement about objectiveness, you then gave a subjective statement as evidence. It’s empirical, but that’s life. I wouldn’t put up with a slacker in my relationship, go find you a non-slacker.

I don’t know I’d identify as any “type” of woman. I just am me. I believe in collaboration among relationships. If 2 ppl agree to have a very traditional relationship and it works for them, great. We both work full time and try to split household work and discuss it as new situations arise. I don’t think I am the exception in my peer group as I feel like most other women, and men, that I’m friends with also split household stuff this way. Honestly, if I had a friend of any gender who said: I don…

Me too! In my experience the best relationships require serious collaboration as well as self-reflection. Good luck, ForeignSmell!

I’m so sorry that you’re going through a hard time right now. It sounds really stressful. We have all been there. Everyone faces miscommunications and rejections in love, whether they admit it or not. I hope you can work it out, but if not, learn about yourself and move on. Do what makes you happy. Happiness is infectious & when others see you doing something that makes you happy they will gravitate towards you (for friendships OR relationships). I didn’t mean to single you out or imply you felt…

The ideas on this sub really interest me. I just wonder where men get these ideas about women. I take out the trash, but so does my husband. We do all the roles and discuss the devision of labor/parenting in our household. I have never expected him to pay for all dates and we have financially supported each other throughout various hard times. I also don’t have any female friends who hold these antiquated ideas about chores and gender roles. Out of honest curiosity, is it possible you guys are l…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
