There's nothing wrong with giving yourself as much advantage in the sexual marketplace. But I don't see how TRP can give you any advantage. So I would say that I see TRP as wrong, or in the best case terribly poor model for inter-sex relationships. As you know, a bad model would give you bad predictions and make you make bad decisions. I see TRP as the economics of the sexual marketplace. Somebody already pointed out, and you agreed that TRP is one theory to sexual marketplace. So I would contin…

The only difference I can see between common advice and TRP advice in your example is the tone. "If she is not answering, she's not interested" is the kind of advice that my feminist mom gave me when I was a teenager. For most people, that's it, she's not interested and you decide what to do with that knowledge. But for TRP , there must be evil reasons because "AWALT", ignoring the fact that avoiding people you don't like is not something that women do in dating, it's something that everybody do…

I'd be willing to say that for every 4 women who fit AWALT, 1 doesn't. But she got married at 22 to someone she started dating at 17 and is irrelevant to the present conversation. So... you know 5 women total?

I wanted to expand on how strong the urge can be, how it affects society and the individuals with said urges. I did understand that, and that's exactly what I want to cover in my answer. The urge for sex is not an issue as most of it consequences are quite well integrated in our society.

I believe that almost all men contain strong sexual lust, therefor many men are capable of such crimes. That's a non-issue. Men are also the aggressive sex, but most of us go trough life without killing anyone, not because we divert our aggression into something positive, but because we never find ourselves in a situation where we actually lose control. In general, the idea that men are somehow unable to control their urges is pretty dumb, IMO, and it also applies to sex. The most common use for…

You watched it right. I know a lot of people loves to speculate about the deep meaning of the movie, but you need a lot of mental work to fill the countless plot holes of the movie.

Actually, what you have to do is the same PUA tell you to do, plus a feedback loop. Does she laughs at your stupid jokes? Touches her hair while smiling? Casually touch her arm. Does she answer positively, touches you back? Get closer. Does she ignore you? Probably interested but not "in that way," however you can try a second time another day. Show any sign of discomfort? Better flirt with someone else. Sounds pretty obvious? That's why they tell you to use common sense. The flirting interactio…

Not all killings are murders, and not all unwanted sex is rape. Think about a couple is having sex in the dark, suddenly she doesn't want to continue but doesn't say anything. She let him continue, but won't move or respond anymore. After a minute or two he notices something is wrong and ask her if she's ok, she says "yes" and tells him to continue. At this point you can tell for sure he's actively looking for consent, and a number of things could happen, for example: He takes her word and eager…

Another part of being a good person is not expecting to be rewarded for being decent Being treated decently is not a reward. If I treat someone in some way, it's reasonable to expect the same treatment back. If I don't get it, it's reasonable to feel disappointed about it. If they abuse it, it's reasonable to get mad about it. "Nobody owes you anything" is supposed to be some anti-entitlement mantra, but it also implies that "you don't owe anything to anyone"* and it's just the most entitled man…

It's funny how you always name 50 Shades - you seem to be the guys obsessed with it. Could be because that's the usual RedPill kind of kinky: Lots of vanilla sex with lots of vanilla abuse. Plus, at the end Christian learns the true meaning of love. So cheese (and not alpha at all).

So, what's happening here is that he feels like a consolation prize, like he isn't impressive enough to land a younger and sexier version of her, but now he qualifies. And instead of thinking "I have improved so much that a woman that wouldn't look at me before, now prefers me" he says "her value has decreased so much that she has to take me." It's not just that he doesn't value her, he doesn't value himself.

To put is another way, are you going to criticise biology for not incorporating physics into their day-to-day work? I would criticize any biologist trying to understand the origin of life saying "there is no room for chemistry in my field." There was actually a time where organic and inorganic compounds were believe to be inherently different. I took a big part of XIX century to convince biologist that life was just a chemical reaction, like any other. Philosophers and natural philosophers (pre-…

Seriously? Even without context, the "he won't take a no for an answer" was worrisome. Making fun of her, or attacking her was totally wrong. "You more" is not a excuse, ever.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
