That's awesome, but you need to realize you are part of a tiny minority of women who are honest enough to do that. Probably 1-3%. EDIT: (I had 5% but I realized one in twenty is way too frequent. One in a hundred is probably more realistic, but I even question if it's that prevalent.)

Go to the clinic. You don't have to go with her. You can follow her in your car if you have to. Wait a while after she enters and then go inside. If/when she reenters the waiting room, ask the doctor specifically if the abortion was successful. This is of course assuming she even goes to the clinic. Treat her as an enemy. Because she is. I teach in East Asia as well. It can be annoying sometimes. I don't want to have to grant you permission to breathe. The fact that they view me as such an authority figure causes them anxiety in class, so that sucks as well. Nothing is more frustrating than a class of silent nervous students.

It's too early to tell. It all depends on how each nation addresses its crisis. The euro project has already been compromised (the ECB is buying debt to keep EZ members afloat) so the euro question is kind of moot. I expect Germany to fare much better than France, to say the least. Britain is kind of in between the two.

Britain and US are on very similar courses. Both are indebted nations with an out-of-control fiscal situation and worsening employment prospects. They both seem content on kicking the can down the road via inflation for now, which only worsens the situation. Things don't look good. Frankly, I'd rather be in Sweden than Britain for the next decade.

Actually I think a very strong argument can be made that it's a gender issue. Females are far more likely to see a therapist than men. I think this has a lot to do with society's approach to raising boys. Discouraging them from discussing their feelings stunts their emotional intelligence and makes depression and other afflictions more likely. And it's difficult for many males to work up the courage to talk to a therapist because they're not used to opening up.

As someone who went to a public college in a blue state, I can confirm this. Pretty much all of my social sciences professors were huge supporters of feminism and the welfare state. They were more comfortable with me contesting their socialist ideology then they were with anything anti-feminist I said. The latter issue was a nonstarter. It was pretty clear to me that I would be blacklisted in the program if I kept pushing the issue.

I loved your post until you started saying "be a man." Can't we move past this kind of primitive language? There are a TON of social and psychological factors that make it difficult for a lot of men to adapt to our frankly bizarre and nearly incomprehensible modern courtship rituals. Thus the need for this subreddit (and countless books, etc). Shouting "BE A MAN!" doesn't help anybody or add anything to the discussion. The rest of your post, though, was a great contribution.

As my high school history teacher was fond of saying, "high school students/minors do not have freedom of speech." I'm not sure if that's legally true (I hope not) but it is certainly practically true in high schools, and even many colleges.
