Hey, how do you archive this? When I try to do it, it just archives the data protection page. Or does it depend what jurisdiction you're in?

I'm going to stop myself from commenting on this too much, except to point out that practically every day, the Vatican's own media service publishes a new photo of the bishops wearing scarlet, purple, linen and adorned with gold and precious stones. It's almost like they're trying to send a message, or something. /meta

No, that's good! Nothing personal about your wife, just an observation both from what I've read about the politics of teachers unions and my own personal experience with their members. I have to admit, I'm a little bit biased because I married a girl who seemed pretty nice - but her mom was a crazy, man-hating public schoolteacher. Then we got divorced, she moved back home (with our daughter), took some sort of esoteric master's level public school teacher training, and now she's in charge of ra…

Ferociouskyle, I know you probably love your wife, and the people running this website don't seem to like it when you point out how the system is rigged in an accurate and non-insane way (you're free to spew on about aliens or whatever because that just makes you look dumb.) Having said that though, public school teachers' unions are absolutely in the vanguard of SJW brainrot.

Be careful, though, if you think about it hard enough, you'll find it hard to have an opinion about anything, and realize that you know nothing, like Socrates, and possibly become a Gnostic (which I heartily recommend against).

OK. I just took a picture of the letter on my phone. But I don't know how to send you images. I'm sorry if you have the impression that I am unfairly picking on the Democrats and the EU. I loath Trump just as much as anybody else, and I realize that there is a lot of "fake news" floating around to play on people's emotions. So, please let me know how I can send you the pictures, and I can remove some of my more inflammatory comments if that helps.

Yeah, I realize that it sounds like some kind of crazy Dan Brown/Kafka/Monty Python plot. I'm going to have gently refuse to give you too many details, considering I still have to live here. I wasn't a spy, I was just a guy who had recently moved from America, didn't believe in all those crazy conspiracy theories, and needed a job (they made me the music director). I'm not sure if you're ribbing me for talking pointy-headed philosophy shite. Point taken. "Immanentize the eschaton" means "bring about the end of the world." For atheists, it means bringing about a (false) heaven on earth. For religious people, who claim to be against immanentizing the eschaton, there is the unfortunate problem that it's the mechanism that makes the return of the Messiah possible. Kind of like the whole Christian story wouldn't be possible if Jesus didn't get crucified. But do…

I basically agree with you, but with one caveat. The real goal of liberalism (and conservatism) is immanentizing the eschaton. Of course to understand what they mean by that you need to read a lot of Kant and Hegel and Aristotle and the Bible, and early twentieth-century theoreticians of formal (post-Aristotelean) logic. To make a long story short, (and don't quote me on this), I get the feeling that the eschaton has recently been immanentized. So the whole "western civilization" ship has sailed…

I live in Poland. Yes, you're absolutely right about the Helsinki Foundation - and "human rights" in general - and I knew that going in. But they were basically my last shot and I thought I'd give them a chance. The house arrest was actually part of the trial process, it wasn't a punishment specifically. I call it house arrest (because that's exactly what it was), but it basically just meant that I had to A: make sure and not appear anywhere within 1 km of where my ex-girlfriend might be or face…

It doesn't really matter when this lady lived, and the factual inaccuracies are par for the course. What matters to me is that it's justifying and glorifying the mass murder of husbands by their wives. Imagine if you were to replace "women" in this article with "Romanian peasants", and "men" with "Jews", it would be pretty obvious that this is a kind of background incitement to teach negative attitudes (and false history) to kids.

I'm afraid that might not be a good idea. If I were to write everything I know about the case, I would either be locked in a mental hospital or it would trigger world war three. Just a few examples: At the time, I worked for a very powerful Jewish institution. A week before the accusation, my boss called me into his office and said "You've been working here for three years, you're either going to have to convert or I have to stop protecting you," and I refused. That might work on people who are simply misguided, but most feminists and their fellow-travellers get hysterical exactly in proportion to how good your argument is. As someone who had my life ruined by a false accusation, I've used this comparison quite often, when people basically say "well, tough cookies for you, women suffered, now it's your turn". Inevitably, people get indignant that I'd have the temerity to compare my situation to that of a black person. Then they ooze some pious bullshit…

The funny thing is, rock and roll isn't even culturally relevant anymore (and the author actually mentioned that in his article too). Sure, people still listen to it, but it's an older, niche audience, like jazz. Turn on a hits station anywhere in the world and you're pretty unlikely to hear an electric guitar.

A lot of the current crop of successful women musicians would be uncomfortable with anyone zeroing in on their gender. With good reason, piously opining about such things – particularly if you’re a man – has been serially mocked with the cliched journalistic category of “women in rock”, an idea so hoary that it has its own Wikipedia page. But he still couldn't help himself.

Yes. And can we please extend this to people falsely accused of "gender violence", which now includes things like "emotional violence" and "financial violence", but are all lumped under the category of "domestic abuse"? I was accused of "emotional violence" by my ex girlfriend five years ago. The trial lasted four years, which included two years of house arrest for me. Apparently, stakeholders (that is, the living breathing people who want violence against women to end) told McLeod Howe that reproductive rights are human rights; and without those rights women will never be equal. And perhaps even told her that inequality is one of the key drivers of violence against women. So, there we have it. I realize there are a lot of left/liberal people here, and most of them aren't going to like this. As long as we support women's right to kill fetuses, we're never goin…

Basically, every political movement is a Trojan horse of one kind or another, including "men's rights". This is really difficult to explain, so you'll forgive me for using a Hitler analogy: Back in the 1930's you had the left, which was always wrong about everything (Stalin and his fellow travellers in Germany). Then you had Hitler, who had a really annoying habit of actually telling the truth sometimes, even though he was still absolutely evil and wrong in the big picture. Don't ask me how I kn…

It's about time we stopped thinking in terms of feminist "hypocrisy" and started talking about "obvious bad faith". I find it impossible to believe that any feminist could hold such an obvious double standard with a clear conscience. After all, one of the key arguments against feminist jurisprudence has always been that a privileged view of women (aka anti-misogyny) in the law will lead to women being allowed to get away with crimes. Here, the feminists are making exactly the same argument, just…

Just thought I should point out that in America, killing a pregnant woman has been considered double homicide for years now.

I googled her and I'd say she looks pretty good in all her photos. The sad thing is there are probably countless men out there who would pay good money to get stabbed by a girl like her.

Well, this isn't r/SJW either, so I wouldn't be so quick pulling the "hate" card, either. If you had any idea what kind of beliefs and goals are involved in casting "hexes", you'd realize that it influences those people's behavior in the real world as well.

If you kill a pregnant woman, you're on the hook for double murder. Science is unable to answer the question of when a fetus becomes a human being, so the best you can say is that you don't think abortion is murder, but a lot of other people do. Abortion is still outlawed or heavily restricted in the majority of the world's countries, even seemingly modern ones like New Zealand, Japan, Israel and South Korea. Even in the U.S., support for abortion has been steadily declining.

Seriously, this person thinks that people are going to let her slice their heart open, knowing that she stabbed somebody? She will enjoy being a medical researcher, though. Maiming and mutilating is an integral part of the job.

Nah, that won't be necessary. But I do think it speaks volumes that so many of the women tied publicly to the label "feminist" - Angelina Jolie, Emma Watston, Rose McGowan, Alyssa Milano, Asia Argento, Beyonce, Amber Rose, just to name some off the top of my head - are either best known for playing witches on screen, or actually witches, or promote it through their songs. I mean, fine, we're nondenominational community, but witch is still a synonym for "a mean lady". It's like they're basically …

Yes, I'm sure you're right. :) I guess the first issue is that, if they actually believe in this stuff, then I suppose you could say it's a form of "violence", or at least intended that way. There are a lot of other reasons why I find a lot feminists' eagerness to associate feminism with witchcraft relevant too, and we can just all draw our own conclusions about that.

"Against bodily autonomy"? I'm sorry, I don't speak newspeak. I don't consider killing people a medical choice. Eugenics programs and genocide, when they have been implemented, have made use of the same "medical" terminology you are using here.

That's a silly way of putting it. I am in favor of outlawing abortion, eliminating no-fault divorce, and eliminating the family court gravy train for women. But as far as impregnating women goes, if you do it, it's your responsibility.
/r/MensRights12/10/18 04:03 AM

Just to be clear - posting this article shouldn't be taken as an endorsement of the views expressed in it. But this explains why governments are not at all bothered by the side effects of feminism: plummeting birth and marriage rates, skyrocketing divorce rates, sky-high abortion rates, the fact that most men are afraid to even talk to a woman for fear of going to jail, etc. It's like those aren't bugs, they're features. But most people don't really think about the long-term implications of what…

Are you talking about the posts advocating for men to be able to walk away from fatherhood / demand an abortion? Those have always annoyed me. But I'll tell you a secret. All political movements are "agents provocateurs". Especially the ones with the term "human rights" in them. There is a lot of disagreement as to who exactly belongs to the executive steering committee, but don't doubt that there is one. Filtering out women who belonged to women's associations or went to women's colleges - presumably more likely to be feminists - makes perfectly good business sense. They are absolutely the most likely to cause disruptions in the form of lawsuits, complaints to HR, and inability to work with others.

Goal number one is to get people to stop reproducing and implement a police state. Hence, feminism. Seriously, though, in the post-humanist lingo (I know more than a few people, they are all over academia), humans are referred to as "humanity 1.0", while post-humans are humanity 2.0. Humanity 2.0 will only be available for the people who A. can afford it, and B. have no morals. Check out r/eugenics if you think I'm just making this up.

Normally, I'm the last one to promote big brother, but if everyone carries cameras around, it makes it a little bit more difficult (though by no means impossible) to make false accusations. Not impossible, because judges are obviously encouraged to ignore or conceal exculpatory evidence, not to mention cockamamie psychological theories that can invert the meaning of even the most obvious fact. Still, if your daughter's going to be a paranoid ninny anyway, by all means, buy her a camera.

It's only the stupid ones that get violent. Typically, they just falsely accuse you, which has the additional benefits (for them) of fucking up your life much more permanently, getting all the status of being your "love interest" without any of the responsibilities, and - if they play their cards right - making you essentially their prisoner for life. And there's practically now downside, since the legal repercussions are far smaller than actually being violent.

The problem is right there in the name. "Violence Against Women Act." All the reliable statistics show that IPV is about equally committed by men and women. So why create a law that protects only female victims? As other posters have pointed out, this bias runs through the bill all the way from its name, to the way it's written, to the way it's implemented. Moreover, when domestic assault laws in Russia were recently brought in line with general assault laws, the sponsor of the change in the law…

Of course having an unwanted child is a terrible thing to do. That's why getting a woman pregnant when you don't want to have a child with her is a terrible thing to do. Don't do it. I realize that requires some self-discipline, and it goes against "modern, liberal" values. But since modern, liberal values now include things like anti-family divorce courts, a culture of false accusations, identity politics, and all the other nonsense, maybe the takeaway is that modern, liberal values are in fact…

"If you're a man, "joint custody" basically means you get to see your kids every other weekend while you pay child support through the nose. You get to suffer while your ex gets a new car every year." Fixing that doesn't have a single thing to do with abortion. Child support is one of the incentives women have for leaving their partners (the other is alimony which also needs to go). Women know that they're basically guaranteed to get child support. I never said anything about forcing women to get abortions either. There are plenty of other ways to fix the child support problem without getting abortion involved, such as joint custody, or removing the massive incentives for women to leave their partners. You do realize that the difference between the children who left the house, and the one who didn't, is that the latter is a victim of attempted murder? Go ahead and suspect the woman all you want, but don't pretend the article gave you anything like reasonable grounds to do so. And on the vanishingly small chance that there was something unsavory about their relationship, the guy with the airplane sure blew his chance to do something about it.
/r/MensRights14/08/18 08:15 PM

I can think of a lot of reasons, like confidentiality. Imagine you're a kid, and somebody just flew an airplane into your house. Maybe you don't want people asking you questions. And anyway, most states have confidentiality laws for child victims of crimes for that very reason. I answered your question. Now tell me what it is exactly, that you feel suspicious towards this boy about, and what exactly in the article gave you reason to suspect him of something?

My original argument was that since the article mentioned that he specifically told his biological children to leave the house, it implies that there were also other children living there. There is also no indicator that the boy, whose very existence made you suspicious - but you won't say of what - should raise your suspicions. Frankly, that just says to me that you've got a deeply ungenerous view of the world. I don't even see why you would be digging into this. Whoever the boy was, he was a v…

It seems to me like another one of those unproveable, vague things that the domestic violence industry is using to make MEN (almost never women) arrestable anytime, anywhere. Second, the police are bad enough on their own, but if the matter ends up in court, it's going to be looked at by court psychologists. And there, on top of the unconscious bi…

I don't think that this is done without regard to the consequences. What I've realized about feminist jurisprudence is: The know perfectly well what they're doing, and that's why they're doing it.

Yeah, I would have thought that her base would be lapping this up. Jessica Valenti did. But it seems that feminists DO occasionally let their sense of fair play get the better of them. I guess it kind of helps that the Democratic party leadership - currently portraying itself as the standard-bearer for feminism - hates Ocasio Cortez, so it will be interesting to see this play out.

The vast majority of "gender violence" and "family court" interventions are state enforced abuse. I learned this the hard way when my ex-girlfriend falsely accused me of "stalking" her. All of the evidence clearly showed that not only was I not stalking her, she was the one stalking me. At point I lost my patience in court and said "You honor, not only am I the one being stalked here, but the accuser is using YOU to do it." The judge was totally unfazed by this, and she said: "The state cannot, …

Guys, - if a post blaming this on "typical women" has been upvoted as much or more as a post saying "no, don't blame this shit on all women", then I don't really have much hope for men's rights issues ever getting solved. If we're going to say #notallmen, we have to say #notallwomen too.
/r/MensRights12/08/18 09:29 AM

But those are all things that politicians did. It's worth remembering that a lot of those politicians are men, too. So yeah, we have a huge uphill battle. Not only are most women brainwashed, but the brainwashing is about things that work out in their own favor, which is always the hardest to break. And even still, a majority of women refuse to call themselves feminists. If you think good women don't exist, I don't know what to tell you.
/r/MensRights11/08/18 09:21 PM

I don't think there's such a thing as a "typical woman". There are plenty of women who aren't evil. We need them on our side and really shouldn't be alienating them.

That SEEMS reasonable, but here's why it isn't. -First of all, the question, "have you ever made unwanted requests". How can that possibly be anybody's business? Have you ever asked someone out and been rejected? How can this be grounds for holding a job? -Second: the legal criteria for so-called harrassment have become so unglued from reality, that that shouldn't be a valid criterion either. Whether we're talking about title 9 courts, or VAWA, or #metoo, or aburd definitions of "emotional viole…

And... False accusation culture is metastasizing right in front of our eyes. All someone has to do now is say they feel uncomfortable around you, or you asked them out and they didn't want to go, and you're barred from holding office, or a variety of other jobs. Notice how open-ended the questions she's asking are. Have you ever asked made unwanted requests? How would you know, until you made them? In other news, a candidate for congress rejects a request for a political debate by comparing it t…

You might want to examine your fixation on sexualized, gendered insults, it practically seems like an obsession. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a public servant and as such, she does have a responsibility to engage with the press. If she objects to Ben Shapiro's journalistic methods, or his offer of money, she could have said that, or said nothing, but instead she chose to turn this into another fake #metoo moment.

Yeah, I think this serves a double purpose. On the one hand, politics has degenerated into pure emotional manipulation now, and teenage girls are pretty much the undisputed champions in that department. More insidiously, it means that anyone who wants to discuss anything with them has to stoop to their level. I've noticed that most of my friends on facebook (almost all liberals), who were still enthusiastically posting about politics a year or two ago, have retreated into despairingly posting pi…

Quoting directly from the article: "Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions. And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one."

The point is not that she's actually reporting him to the police. She doesn't need to, the public accusation itself is enough. As Shapiro himself noted, "slandering someone as a sexist catcaller without reason or evidence does demonstrate cowardice and bad intent." But anyway, since she's responding in her capacity as a member of congress, this does pertain to the workplace.

Well, the internet tells me that "In 1980 the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued regulations defining sexual harassment and stating it was a form of sex discrimination prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964." Catcalling may or may not fall under that heading, but given the #metoo climate, and the fact that numerous European countries are in the process of passing very specific laws outlawing catcalling, the intention behind her words seems pretty clear. EG: "Any man who di…

Leaving aside the fact that posthumanism would be the most hellish, murderous, and unjust system imaginable on the vanishingly small chance that it could actually succeed - and one that advocates for a massive reduction of the human population - or, in the much more likely event that it's a failure (given the ridiculous pseudophilosophical underpinnings, shoddy science and poorly-planned logistical issues, like how do you live for eternity if you can't afford the software update, or somebody unp…

What I see in the tech industry is a bunch of crazy utopians with zero respect for human life. If they call for killing all men or bringing about "the end of humanity" (again, HIS OWN WORDS) -pretty similar goals if you think about it- not taking them seriously is just the height of stupidity.

One major difference between feminists and Nazis is that the Nazis didn't publicly advertise their plans to exterminate large swaths of humanity - they were afraid it might make them look bad.

OK, here's the thing. "Brave New World" wasn't an instruction manual, though, like 1984, a lot of people seem t have read it that way. Accusing people who want to save sex for marriage of suffering from a mental pathology is vicious, to say nothing of discrediting psychology itself, and it was a theme that was explored at length in the book. Moreover, when Huxley was alive, there was no shortage of promiscuity, but there also wasn't wholesale persecution of people who didn't want to engage in it…

Yes and no. It's definitely true that a lot of conservatives are miserable people, and good people come in all shapes, colors, sizes and types. Having said that: the very concept of "good person" is by definition a metaphysical, religious and conservative concept. Without that concept, you're in Nietzscheland, beyond good and evil, maximizing your prerogative. In that situation being a good person is for rubes. More to the point, there is a DIRECT relationship between the evil, technocratic (and…

For the people who haven't stopped to think where their world view actually comes from, that's probably true. For the people planting the worldview in their head, though, it's a long-term strategy. Here's a quote from Brave New World: "And home was as squalid psychically as physically. Psychically, it was a rabbit hole, a midden, hot with the frictions of tightly packed life, reeking with emotion. What suffocating intimacies, what dangerous, insane, obscene relationships between the members of t…

This is interesting to me, because it's straight out of Brave New World. It's not enough for the left to say "we don't want to live in traditional families and you should be OK with that." Now it's become: "Anyone who wants to have a traditional family is a mental case and should be ostracized." It seems clear to me that this is a big part of the motivation for most of modern-day feminism, whether it's family courts, fraudulent definitions of domestic violence, and all the rest of it: discouragi…

I find that a bit odd, though. The Duluth model is definitely standard in the country where I live, and Britain, even if it leaves the EU, is still a signatory of the Istanbul Convention, which is the Duluth Model on steroids.

That's the one. I highly recommend reading it, if you live in Europe there are all sorts of ways to end up arrested for existing while male. The authors have gone out of their way to base the law on a woman's *feelings* so that even if you have mountains of objective evidence that you didn't commit any violence as the word is normally understood, you're still going to jail.

That's the first I've heard of that. I mean, you do occasionally hear about women getting arrested, but only the glaringly obvious cases, where there is video evidence, and the women are not clever enough to use one of the numerous loopholes they're granted. I live in Europe (but not the U.K) and it's very much slanted against men. Like VAWA, the Istanbul Convention has "protection of women [eg not men]" right in its name.

You're not wrong about leftists. You are wrong about the right, though. I'm not going to get into a long back and forth about this, it might just make you really depressed to know about the unity of opposites, Hegel, the history of the French revolution and all that. Yes, of course nobody cares when women do this to men. I'll go one further: since about the dawn of agricultural civilization, marriage has been an economic partnership. There have been many permutations to the basic arrangement - Mohammed's rich wife subsidising his career as a prophet comes to mind. Ideally, we would like to prevent situations where one side or the other mistreats their partner or takes advantage of the situation in a dishonest way. But that's not actually what "economic viole…

This article draws attention to another Orwellian aspect of European (and increasingly, international) domestic violence law that most people are unaware of. So-called "economic violence". The Guardian was slick enough to make the husband in this article sound like a bona-fide jerk. But most of the behaviors that would be considered "abusive" here have nothing to do with finances, such as demanding access to the wife's text messages and emails. (Never mind that he wasn't interviewed for this sto…

I'm not really interested in a newspaper's "respectability" or lack thereof. What interests me is that editors at two large and influential media companies have openly advocated killing half of humanity. That it's the half I happen to belong to makes it that much more visceral. Back in march, when this Inc. article was written, it was apparently still the case that people found this kind of thing troubling.
