I’ve been teaching women’s self defense and rape prevention classes for 20 years, and my daughter has been in the kids Brazilian jiu-jitsu class I teach since she was 4. My wife practiced FDS since 17- so the conversations regarding consent, boundaries, etc. are frequent with both of our children. “No is a complete sentence “ has been the new phrase of the last 6 months since I learned it here. I was fortunate to be brought up by a HV father who respected and revered my mother. I am working hard to be that type of role model for my son. It has made me nervous af for my daughter.
