Well, yeah, that’s the practicality aspect to it. If my passion was gender studies, there’s no way in hell I’d major in it, maybe minor. But it works for some people.

I beg to differ. My passion is in STEM. So, I do something I love and there’s monetary gain too. If OP wanted to, she could make a career out of gender studies, she’d just have to work stupidly hard. Should she have picked a more logical major and double majored or gotten a minor in gender studies, gotten a job and helped from her position in the company she ended up working for? Maybe, but who’s to say that’s not what she did.

Okay, that I can see being the case. I might have been too tired to logically think of their intent as anything other than what I saw.

This’ll probably get downvoted, but if STEM isn’t her passion, why should she get a degree in it? She shouldn’t have to in order to prove herself to people like the commenter. It’s like a putting a news reporter on blast for only saying that there’s not enough teachers instead of becoming teacher a himself. Yes, it’s a good comparison. One reports the news. OP reports gender disparity and the like across the board. Word edit

If you’re for a chick who does hair and makeup all day even to go to the gym... She has no problem with going to the gym; she just doesn’t place a high value on looking perfect.

That’s true. Before I joined Reddit, I’d heard of men’s rights activists, but only from a feminist’s viewpoint. It was ridiculed so much, and they only used mysoginists, hiding behind the MR banner, as examples. So, this concept sounded really dumb. It wasn’t until I came to see for myself that I realized they were curating a narrative. People are going to have to be more vocal. I get not wanting to join dumb arguments, but if there’s no representation, people aren’t going to know any differentl…

I’m scared that if I get angry about that, I’ll get angry about a lot things to do with my childhood, and I’m not ready for that. Right now, I’m just being a supportive person. That’s the best I can do.

That’s great! I’m a woman. So, the cards are stacked in my favor on this one. But he was one of the few people I was around that summer. So, he convinced me I should be honored he picked me. I’ve never been angry about it, but at this point I’m just sad.

First I don’t believe that because I know some really sweet women. Second, the girl who relayed the story of her boyfriend advertising her on Craigslist was fucked up. Imagine if your SO did that to you. Think of how pissed you’d be.

I’m a grill. So, subtract a few quality points. I think having children would be amazing, but I feel like I’m the combination of the worst parts of my parents’ personalities. I’m not a narc, and I’m one of the nicest bitches you will ever meet, but I’m cold, very detached, very good with words/making people feel inadequate (edit: my mother and biological father are both lawyers. I got it from them.) and the harder I tried not to be like that, the worse I got. At this point I’m just focusing on b…

I don’t know. On one hand, my friends and I have no problem being naked in front of each other, being there while the other takes a shower, you name it. We also grope each other because we’re young and dumb and have a shitty senses of humour. I have a friend who’s bisexual, as am I, but prefers women. And those things continue to happen even when one of us has an SO. On the other hand, you’re her boyfriend, and you live together. So, your pretty reasonable request shouldn’t be easily dismissed. …

Deal with her til you get money. Then start bothering her for sex again. When she threatens to break up tell her sure. Problem solved. P.S. It’s not always about being in the mood. Sometimes you have to force yourself. In an ideal relationship, would you not cook just because you didn’t feel like it? Maybe a few times, how about all the time? How would that affect your relationship? Physical and mental. Relationships can’t be one-sided. Would you enter a business partnership where you did all th…

woe is me. Sorry, it was just an obvious error. I think being a housewife is extremely hard. I have some friends and their mom was in the Air Force for 35 years. She also adopted 6 children, was a fantastic foster parent, and the perfect soccer mom. All of her children play(ed) multiple sports, instruments, whatever could be done they did it. As her kids got older, their house was the hangout spot pretty much all the time. She was like a mom to all of us. She was also the perfect wife. None of u…

He responded with some “Why does a grown man have a 14 year old on snap?” Then he went to my profile, saw my AskWomen post, and proceeded to write a comment “warning” people not to answer because I was a pedophile and why would they tell complete strangers their bra sizes. He didn’t look at my comment history. He just hopped, skipped, and jumped straight to a ludicrous outcome.

They’re all hoes who take me for granted” (because her boyfriend got tired of her bullshit) To “Sike! You thought. Reminds me of that dad who locked his little girl outside of the house and her remains were found. What’s funny is these are the same parents who scream at their children for falling behind in stores.

Some people... On the same note, I’ve always wondered how normal people came out. If I ever decided to let everyone know about the guy who molested me, would I tell our mutual friends? His parents? Report it to the police? How does one go about that sort of thing? I just can’t imagine exposing it, so I could go through the hell all over again. I already dealt with it unhealthily. Don’t need that public exposure. This is for people who speak out later instead of immediately.
/r/MGTOW07/02/18 01:41 AM
2

And guess what? Lots of people recognize that, but they keep quiet because they don’t want to deal with all the attacks. But because no one’s really speaking up, people start to think they’re among the few. What’s the quote? Evil prevails when good men do nothing. Don’t remember specifically, but I think a lot of problems could be avoided by people stating their opinions. I’m not a fan of misogyny. But the equality that’s being pushed for by radical feminism is not the kind of equality we need.

No, Doll, a rinsta. Rinsta: where you can be as sarcastic and real as you want and people have to deal with it. Bonus points if no one knows it’s your account. Finsta: Where the majority pretends to think everyone is “SO GORGEOUS!! 😍😍”; home of the 500 word captions about Best Frands. Of course you should make a rinsta. Men are allowed to sleep with as many people as they wish. I’m not advocating a whorish lifestyle for women, but still. Boys are generally allowed more freedom like hanging out with whatever friends, later curfews, allowed to go to parties. Women have to watch everything they say because it could be misconstrued or taken as interest when it could be friendly banter. Generally women who make dirty jokes are immoral. They’re looked down on as having no ambition when they become SAHMs, but having a…

What should I have done then? He said if it happened that I should get an abortion, that he didn’t want to be a father. Should I have forced his hand? Let my child be around someone who’s resentful of his/her very existence? I don’t think so. I would have raised that child the best I could with God’s help.

I think back before and around 1920 it was. I think in a lot of third world countries it is. In my home country in the villages women are born and bred to be one of a man’s many wives, married off at 13, 14. In the cities it’s better because of education, but still not where it could be. Then again the condition is perpetuated by the women themselves because sometimes in spite of the education they have, they still make themselves subservient to the wrong man. They need feminism and a healthy do…

He does all the work? Are you kidding me? Now, are you saying your brother is sleeping on the couch? Or the new guy? Why doesn’t he just kick his ex out? Why does she have the right to stay? With this behaviour your brother could reasonably get shared custody. Why would anyone reasonably say, “This is what’s going to happen.” The wife obviously doesn’t care. Her actions prove so.
/r/MGTOW18/01/18 06:11 PM

When I lost my virginity I was stupid asf and didn’t use protection. I knew I’d already ovulated and the chances of conception were minimal, but the guy was scared. I told him, if I got pregnant he wouldn’t be part of the kid’s life, and he wanted that. So, there are times where that’s viable. But the way these 2 are smiling, especially the little girl, it’s hard to think he’s a bad person. Children are great at judging a person’s character.

I don’t know. I feel like feminism isn’t just about equal rights anymore. Legally, women now have all the same rights as men. Yeah, there’s some bad apples in both barrels, and there are still some wage gaps, but it’s by far improved from a century ago, even now, if we turn our eyes to “shithole” countries. And there’s still some misogynistic practices, but I think it’s important to note that in curtailing those, we’ve also made room for misandry. Good luck getting people to acknowledge that, th…

Well, of course we limit them mentally. What do you expect? Were taught to be church choir girls with a hidden freaky side. But now we must also be staunch feminists who can still own their sexuality, but anything less means you’re not a real woman, and you’re definitely not standing up for your fellow woman. Even more ridiculously to be the in the 1% you must also have an active social media presence, be cool with anything your SO wants to do, but text him every hour of the day to let him know …

Depends on how much he’s grown up by then. He already has a kid, and I’m her godmother. So, that wouldn’t be too much of a change for her. But based on right now and most likely the same behaviour for the next few years, I wouldn’t start a relationship with him when he settled down. I know too much about him; he doesn’t know enough about me.
