Lies! Stop speaking for women of color.

I’m apparently a pickmeisha now because I’m honest about how women treat each other but agree with most of the other advice here. Please. I’ve worked in all female spaces and they bring out the worse in women. Way to play into female stereotypes that women can’t handle directness and honest critiques, hilarious! Women turn a blind eye to abuse of other women and often encourage it (just look at Megan Kelly and the women on twitter jumping on Kamala for being strong). @FDS won’t be taken seriousl…

All female workspaces is not the answer. Women standing up in coed workplaces to wrong doing and not letting males get away with deplorable behavior is.

That makes you sound very immature. Going out on a limb here and saying you’re 18 with no life experience about how things work in the real world. Do young women these days have that low of self esteem that when they get advice to be strong at work in action and not just arm chair feminists that they shriek in disapproval. I think we are better than that. Yes it’s scary but it’s much easier today than even ten or fifteen years ago with the metoo and other movements. Women should not live in fear…

And FDS shouldn’t just apply to dating men but interacting with them as equals and the adults we are in every part of our lives.

Why does simply being a woman with something to say equate to difficult? Challenge yourself as to why you internalize and believe that lie. You’re not yelling you’re not screaming. You simply are taking up space and speaking as an adult. Or should women say “Hey guys I’m just a stupid girl and I was wondering if you could let me finish talking, no offense sorry if I’m coming off too strong I just want to talk in the job I was hired to do.” No one is advancing in their career that way.

True but sometimes you just have to get over your fear, life is not “easy” and sometimes decisions may be momentarily painful, uncomfortable, or challenging but that’s how you gain your power in finding your voice to move past fear. People aren’t going to respect passiveness and once you lose respect it’s very hard to get it back. The earlier in life you get this then you can have more control over circumstances.

It’s called passive-aggressiveness which unfortunately many women have learned to adopt not necessarily because of how they were raised or socialized but they get into the world and realize that people dislike strong vocal women. There are lots of YouTube videos on speaking powerfully as a woman and the more you practice the better you get. It’s really a matter of practicing asserting boundaries which is useful for all but especially women. He’s not even your colleague just some low bar loser. I…

And why can’t this woman say the same thing for herself? Women will not make progress as a whole until they start making progress. You don’t cower in a meeting. All you have to say is “I like what you’re saying but to finish my point before you continue.” That is, If you want to be “soft” about it and not make men cry or other women in the meeting who hold self defeating views of themselves flinch at your strength. You could just slightly raise your voice and keep talking until the man interrupt…

Maybe he is an ex and she’s just describing him “my boyfriend never went” past tense?

Here comes the classy cussing and nonsense. All that water energy I guess. Truth hurts huh?

Typical deflection. You sound like a proud bed hopper.

You have a good one Taurus because this conversation isn’t getting anywhere. You’re just “I know you are but what am I” and that’s not a conversation. That’s emotionality and unwillingness to have an honest discourse. They don’t ask questions because women despite trying to play innocent all the time can be just as selfish as men. And frequently are. You sound like you have plenty of experience being the other woman so you have fun with that. I’m done here.

So you answer my question with a question really? This is exactly what I’m talking about as to why women can’t have honest conversations without emotionality. Women can ask questions too with a man (unless she doesn’t care) and if he shows red flags that he has a partner like this thread teaches them they need to shut him down. Did you back off once you found out about the other woman? How long did it take you?

You can’t assume they don’t know. “More likely than not” what evidence do you have for that? Once they do then what. They rarely let go without a self centered crybaby fight.

But it is both of their fault. You can’t play innocent when you are actively going for someone’s husband. It’s like the women who cheated with Tiger Woods who claimed to have side girl rights. It’s both of their faults and the woman cheating usually could care less or will keep attempting to be with the man or make contact. If we’re going to be honest on this thread about men we need to be honest about women too. There are women out here giving advice to women on how to maintain affairs as well …

I think the reality is that women are so competitive and sensitive that as female friends you have to be so particular about what you talk about. I had a friend who I established boundaries with because she was doing the weirdest things and I had to end her bad behavior and let her know what I wouldn’t tolerate in the friendship. This set her off as she was offended by her wrong doing and reverted to a 10 year old child (and she was older too!) With a guy acquaintance you can be direct and not h…

Who is teaching women to side with men? Where does this rationale come from? I think it takes many women a long time to understand the realities of life and how our society works (especially if you are in the US). Why is it that everything women do bad stems from what we supposedly learned from men about ourselves? How is this idea supported other than “woman good man bad.” Men don’t always side with each other they screw each other over quite often. Men-to-men military rape, abuse of their sons…

Ten years for a 25 year old woman isn’t a big deal. At 21 we’re adults not to mention she is making grown woman money. Aside from that he obviously needs to go.

I can’t agree that men pit us against ourselves as the main reason for the state of women to women relations. I honestly think it’s a matter of personal character and self awareness and esteem. Women can be very unkind to each other all on their own. So I agree we should all self reflect more often.

In all respect here I think both traditionally fit women and women working on improvements can become suspicious of each other because of experiences. I have always been a leader non clique type who liked to mingle with all types. There have been times when as an adult woman (I am often considered classically attractive but I’m not an old school super model) I’ve attempted to befriend more ample ladies and have been met with suspicion or the assumption that I am a mean girl when I dislike those …

It seems you are saying a lot. How can you assert her value based on her being an actress to me is not exactly logical and I don’t think it’s a good argument. Not everyone in Hollywood is a helpless groomed victim. Not everyone is going in as a kid. As a grown adult you have choices. You also assume that all people working in that industry are nice decent people to begin with not the case. Have you met any of these folks quite a few aggressive aholes (including women) and self-serving manipulato…

What industry isn’t toxic honestly. And yes many actors and actresses are dysfunctional. So is most of the general population.

Okay can you expound on that? She volunteers all over the place even before her marriage to Harry. Your comments have a certain undertone but I try to give people a chance before assuming the worst. I think alot of women are very jealous of Megan Markle and none of his prior gfs have solicited such a response as she.

Her own money, established career, educated why wouldn’t she be high value?

Why not choose Megan Markle. She sure had alot going for herself before her marriage to Harry unlike Kate Middleton not to mention more classically attractive if we are all honest about it.

Halle Berry and Jlo (although currently partnered) come to mind. Very classically pretty but seemed to never have a long term commitment or picked unsuitable men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
