Back when I was still pornsick, I remember there was one little category that was called something like for women. I don't remember what was in it, but it was so insignificant I think it might have just been a way to file away things that didn't fit neatly into the other, infinitely more degrading categories.

I wish I had advice like this two years ago. It would have saved me so much mental space that I thought was reserved for men.

Guilty as charged, since I'm getting a smidge bored right now. On my phone I set time limits for myself on OLD and other social media and it's legit rescued me an entire letter grade.

It's almost like rape culture is normalized or something like that. I got told I was really hot at like 12. Awful. I didn't even understand what that meant.

The silly thing is that it's not like we don't have eyes. How the hell do they think we're just not going to notice?

Men tend to age worse than women because they just don't put in half the effort to wear sunscreen, moisturize, get botox etc. I mean they're not incentivized to because they think they'll be "silver foxes" not the wrinkly, haggard messes that they actually look like.

I'll keep that in mind when she starts getting of dating age and hanging out with more people. She's still really young and a homebody (like me lol), so it's lower risk rn

It's kind of disheartening because her mom is a way cool woman but kind of pickme so I'm trying to be an empowered female in her life but fighting cool girl mentality is rough.

Big oof. I know some married people in an open relationship and it makes no sense to me. Like they have to manage multiple relationships and their lovely daughter gets less of her parents. It's basically like they still want to date and not commit to each other. It doesn't make sense to me at all.

To be fair, the pickmesha label is less applicable to women who are in places where their future literally rests on being with a man. To me it's more illustrative of the patriarchy and how it enables shitty men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
