That’s not what I’m saying. It clearly shows men are still victims of rape but not at nearly the same rate. We still need to tackle both issues.

The article does not deal with points 1 and 2. They are simply facts. Also just because women get raped more than men doesn’t devalue men’s rape situation. We need to do more to reduce both. You are so blinded by your ideology you only accept stuff that fits your narrative. As for point 3, your only response is to say it’s ‘padding’ my comment; you can’t dispute it’s true.

The CDC survey that the article talks about also includes facts such as: 1) 19.3% of women and 1.7% of men have been raped during their lifetimes. 2) 43.9% of women and 23.4% of men experienced other forms of sexual violence during their lifetimes. 3) The lifetime and 12-month prevalences of rape by an intimate partner for women were an estimated 8.8% and 0.8%, respectively; an estimated 0.5% of men experienced rape by an intimate partner during their lifetimes So again you are just clearly wron…

Evidence The sources for the key statistics, 1 in 5 women are raped compared to 1 in 71, is from a CDC report.

You can’t honestly argue that men are raped at near equal rates? That’s clearly wrong.

Ah yes being sexually harassed and assaulted more than men, abused by male partners, and face job discrimination really screams privilege.

The pay gap is just true and any respectable person would agree.

Wow a women really must have hurt you? Are you okay? So much hate. It’s sad because you give men’s rights activists a bad name

What’s wrong with non-traditional women? Or men for that matter??

The best thing to do is bring it up men’s rights as its own thing. Too often it’s brought up to argue with feminists. For example, a feminist might say “Women are sexual harassed more than men” and in response men will usually say “But men commit suicide more often”. Both statements are true but bringing the latter up as a response just devalues the statement. Men and women both face discrimination in different areas. Men are often expected to perform manual labour whereas women are discriminate…

I’ve personally never experienced anything like that. But then again I’m not a creep 🤷‍♂️

Calling a women a “Slut”, in most cases, is definitely considered sexual harassment. Actually the statistics won’t be skewed at least in that sense. See all the participants knew that it was about sexual harassment and assault. Therefore, you are more likely to get men who are truthful than not. It was also anonymous. Yes it was self-reporting but I don’t see how one could argue that being cat called with “Mmmm, sexy” isn’t considered sexual harassment. Even if you ignore the sexual harassment s…

Yes you are right that men are less believed than women. However, women are statistically more likely to be sexually harassed, not to the extent of criminal charges but nevertheless still bad. The National Sexual Violence Resource Centre (NSVRC) reports that 81% of women have been experienced sexual harassment whilst 43% of men have. The reason I have brought up these statistics is that I have noticed many hardline men’s rights activists deny that women are sexual harassed or assaulted more than…

To be fair I am attacking both extremes.

Both men’s rights and women’s rights have equally importance. It is so annoying, from both sides, when they are brought up to invalidate the others. Like I see in Instagram posts about sexual harassment men being like “It isn’t all men and men commit suicide more often” and it’s like yes both are true but you are only saying them to attack women’s issues. The same goes for when women don’t take men’s issues seriously.

That’s not what I said. My statement implied that complaining at women like they are the ones who decided these things is pointless. Men’s issues are very real and serious. However, they do get diluted when you use them as tools to attack feminism.

It’s a common misconception that feminists only believe in women rights. To be honest I can understand as the majority of feminists causes are focused on the big issues like sexual harassment and assault. Whilst men do experience these issues that are not as affected as women. It’s still very important to focus on big men’s issues such as suicide right and sentencing disparities between men and women. Both the House of Representatives and the Senate Armed Services Committee approved women being …

What I was trying to say is that most hardships for men seem to imposed by their own sex. Living in a more liberal environment has shown me that gendered roles are arbitrary and only encourage these types of discrimination

I see myself as a feminist according to the true definition. In my opinion no-one should be required to serve (except is serous world ending situations). If they are required to serve then both men and women should be required to serve. That example does so pure discrimination with negative consequences. The way you have described the office example is quite biased. I would argue that men and women have an equal amount of choice. Men have the choice of suit types, colours, a wide range of shoes …

I’ve personally never experienced bias as a male. Maybe that’s because I was brought up by lefty feminists :)
