True. Maxing out is good for building strength. That and high protein diets are good for building strength and size. If you want to lose weight, lower the weight and increase volume. High intensity training is good too. It shortened the workout and burns the fat more efficiently. Like someone said earlier HIIT. Also the Tabata method.

This. Core stability (abs, low back, obliques) are huge for dead lifts. You should be using your hamstrings, glutes, and low back together with a tiny bit of Quads. Compound, functional movements.

Squatting of course. Lol. Also you can do benching in those. Just gotta set it up. That way you don't have a spot. I recommend looking up some videos on powerlifting technique when you bench and also not to bench too often. It can mess with your shoulders and scapula if not done correctly and if done too often. Eh, dumbells and kettlebells are fine. You should have a spot with the bench, of course. Squat racks have catch bars in case you can't get up. Dead lifts are perfectly fine. Free weights not only help you build muscle and strength, they teach you stability and control. These are VERY important in fitness.
