I fought and got 50/50. It was rough 15 years. Daughter is off to college now and the drama is over.

Just rip the band aid and get it over with. It will be an expensive lesson but I’m assuming your young, so you will recover.

Let it go bro ,especially because you have kids. In the end, you want your ex to be successful for the sake of your children. The sooner you get over this women the better. You are divorcing, hopefully you are getting good 50/50 or good time with your children. After that, as long as kids are safe that’s all you can hope for. Your ex is going to be free to bring around whomever she wants weather that’s a Bangladesh IT guy or a couple of hard pipe hitting black guys. The sooner you get over that …

That more stable career is going to be helpful for you when you get custody and the child support she is going to have to pay for being crazy. Good luck!

Not petty but normal. Do your best to get to know him, be cordial, and pray that he is a decent role model. Unfortunately in these situations you can’t control the other party so hope she chooses a decent partner.

Fight really hard. If you want to be a parent you need it in writing.

My advice is lose the fight but win the war. That war being having 50-50 time in the first place. Sounds like she has the resources to make your life hell. When I first started my 50/50 journey 13 years ago I fought everything. Every time she didn’t bring my daughter I would report it. Cops would come take a report. I would miss work, fight about custody, and nothing would change. Then she would do it again and again and no matter how much I report it nothing changes. What lawyers don’t tell you…

CA here. Have 50/50. Same as comments before depending on the salary difference determines child support. She was at min wage and I believe my wage was double at the time and my payments were very small. Not until my salary was triple did I get into the few hundred a month. She also started making more as well. It gets really crappy when they claim short term disability, then I think you are on the hook for more. As for what they spend it on, I just consider it gone and a fee for me making an in…

Yeah man we all want to work it out but as soon as it’s clear things aren’t going back make sure you file and have a court order. Doings things without the court only leads to problems. Be on your best behavior or don’t text or raise your voice. Always and I mean always be cool in private and public.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
