I really think it should be more (gently) imposed on women that they freeze their eggs at a certain point, for those that do indeed most likely wish to have a child one day. It’s incredible how quickly 5+ years can creep up on you, especially when life’s been an usual whirlwind (deaths/grieving/COVID/life changes, etc). Like if it was more of an advertised and talked about reminder suggestion that they think about doing so by such and such age range.

Many times it can also be from not having the right partner, or a partner than expressed wanting to have children early on, then changed their mind 5-8 years into the relationship or marriage, or they did something to betray you, and the woman had to start over with a new man, and then that man ended up being abusive or anything else that’s detrimental and they realized bringing a child into the world with that man would be a mistake. Be able to bear a child and have a baby is one thing. Getting…

I agree with you there. Thank you. I’ve also been blessed with some incredible romantic partners (men) along the way in this life who were more loving and nurturing than I’d ever received or experienced before and who had my back in some really tough times.

I get it. I do. Ahhh thank you for being a sane guy entering stage left here when some “chill” is direly needed. Again, yes, I understand their predicaments and I’m not just another woman that dismisses them. They only think I am, but my aim is true. It’s just hard because I’ve had full hour long back and forth conversations with men on this sub, outpouring my genuine empathy towards their situations on height and what have you, expressing the most measured and validating of answers 10 times in …

Money is not my personal god. I appreciate the man that can offer more than the size of his wallet or professional prestige. The kind of man that I’d still want to be with under a bridge for his company, even if all the money went away one day. The man that has a nurturing and loving and fun nature to him. Not a staunch and forever stoic man who never got hugged by his father.

I hear you. 60 is a tough age and much bitterness can and has seeped in by that time. I’ve seen it with many men, and women alike. Telling men to be stoic and apathetic towards all women will not help them out. That will only encourage them to live their life with giant walls up around women and no true, real, authentic connection ever to be made. ”Never people please or white knight or simp.” This is some of those most detrimental advice in my opinion. The mountains I will MOVE for a man that o…

Nice of you to assume you can expect kindness and empathy from your family and friends. That’s actually incredibly lucky of you. Please chairish the gift in that you have. Not everyone has that even with family.

You don’t need to tell us. We already know this, Roger. Hence, my original comment. And thank you for backing it up so beautifully with your confirmation that your empathy for women is long GONE, and that you have no capacity for empathy beyond that, and that it’s even hard for you to muster it up for family. Nobody here is surprised by this.

Exactly! Which is why 90% of the posts from men on here crying about their non-existent dating lives shouldn’t be admitted or addressed, amirite?

There will be absolutely no empathy or sympathy from 85% of the men in this sub towards women. NONE. Zilch. They’re so deeply enraged and also apathetic, that they can’t extend an iota of support or understanding beyond the awful cards they’ve all personally been dealt. They actually enjoy if women can suffer a bit and get a taste of what they’ve been plagued with as disenfranchised men their whole lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 06:19 AM

Oh absolutely, some women do care at those heights and yet some don’t. I know several who don’t. I also just validated you and agreed with you, and it’s still not good enough, so let’s just go back to this all being black and white that no women will ever date a man that’s 5’8 - 5’10.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 09:28 PM

If you’re 5’6” like your flair describes, I can absolutely believe that and it’s a fair and valid argument. That has to be incredibly hard. I was more considering heights between 5’8-5’10 in regards to the women I know that don’t really care about those shorter heights in a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/23 09:25 PM

And Ps, stating most women aren’t attracted to shorter guys isn’t hating on short guys

Thank you. He really wasn't at all. He was just a really exceptionally handsome, tall, white collar guy from the Midwest with graying sides in his late 30s, then early 40s, and would be the first to make fun of the Chad stereotype and archetype when it came to other guys. He worked with a lot of "Chads" at his company (Boys club type of work and office) and would make fun of the guys to me who did coke throughout the day, talked despairingly about woman grotesquely, cheated on their girlfriends …

I’m sorry, but you’re rather insufferable. Good grief, I can be friends with and adore men of all heights as my friends and/or colleagues. Do I wanted a shorter guy as my life partner? No. To insinuate from my comments that I can only be in the presence of and in thoughtful communications in my life with men over a certain height just shows howww incredibly hung up you are on your own personal height. Fyi, the smallest penis I’ve ever been with in my life was owned by a man 6’5”. About the girth…

Just please don’t do anything to your nose unless it’s just truly awful in some way to you. Big defined and structured male noses are sexy and manly. A small, perfectly shaped male nose is a bit feminine and vanilla. I slept with a famous celebrity comic and I remember in bed thinking “He’s almost tooo pretty. I miss my ex’s pronounced, structured, dominant and regal nose.”

A lot of us don’t need to think about or visualize anything at all. We could look at a blank wall with nothing in our minds and get the same affect during. You’re internalizing the male experience of it in regard to always needing to imagine another person.

That’s interesting feedback. So, would you not like to hear the truth from some women here? I repeatedly see men in this sub say that all of the women who respond and comment are lying and holding the truth back and just feigning that they only look for emotional qualities in men and don’t care so much about their looks, etc. And what’s also interesting is just how black and white, you, yourself are. If I actually took the comments in this sub to represent all men, that would be naive and ignora…

So I’d like to help clarify this. I only demonize men’s insecurities when it’s detrimental to others. I’m a huge supporter and proponent of men being able to both have insecurities and voice their insecurities and I fully understand and respect many of their insecurities and have always provided a safe space for men I’m dating or friends with to emote and share all of their feelings with me. But when men here have an overall vitriol towards women and demonize them as a whole, it’s quite clear th…

My ex boyfriend was shocked I had never owned one before by my early 30s, and said I should absolutely have one and he bought me a vibrator as one of my birthday presents. He was so proud, telling me he did extensive research on Amazon for a week to find the best one. He was so excited to give it to me as one of my presents he wrapped. I really appreciate that ♥️ Another man in here just looked at more pics of us and said I was batting way out of my league looks wise and that he can absolutely get women way better looking than me, and that that’s my problem with dating him and why things happened how they did. And now he just said that I’m posing as this woman (me) and am an “TRP”? troll faking all of this. No, he’s absolutely able to do better than her in the looks department, except for she’s loaded and completely financially takes care of him, especially since his dad recently died and his support system of his parents that he always relied on are gone at 46. And with your edit you’re now going to completely invalidate me and my painful experiences that I laid out here in this thread with an open heart and label me a troll that’s posing as myself (but a fake women). Can I ask you then why he’s never had another women more attractive than me prior or afterwards? Why is that? If he’s capable of it, why did it never happen? He’s with a woman now who looks like she’s in her 50s and is 200 pounds and has never had a longterm boyfriend. She looks like his aunt or a family member. All of his friends say that she’s not his type at all and that he doesn’t love her. Why isn’t he landing all of these girls that are more attractive than me? Here’s some more pics of us.…

You’re saying that he was much more attractive than me? He wouldn’t even say that. Literally the first time I’ve heard that is from you. I’m honestly not interested in speaking with you any further. You’ve not said one single kind, supportive or reciprocal thing after about 10 separate comments now where I’ve been incredibly open and honest. Got it. So you’re saying I was less attractive than my conventionally handsome ex, and that he was conventionally “more attractive” than me, thus why I got used. Here are some pictures. And there’s plenty of conventionally attractive, confident and witty men out there 6’2 to 6’4. If I can’t find another at a certain point, I’m fine with that. I don’t absolutely have to have a partner in this life. I’ve already been able to experience an incredible 5 years in one and am grateful for that. It was …

So you’re bottom line is telling me that my only alternative in this life is to partner with an unattractive man in order to not be used? You keep saying that. If that’s my only option is to partner with a man longterm who’s unattractive physically and sleep with him multiple times a week for the next 40-50 years in order for me “not to be used” than I’ll happily remain single forever. I already told you that I went that route and wasn’t fulfilled being with a man I wasn’t attracted to. So what’…

Cool. But, you told OP that there’s no use in asking this sort of question in a post because women find it impossible to face their true nature and essentially won’t be giving honest answers to said post. No, I can’t. And this gay guy fooled all of his other ex girlfriends and his entire family. He’s incredibly buff, doesn’t talk with a gay voice or affect in the least and works in a very physical law enforcement job. Please don’t victim blame on that one. Nah it’s cool. I fully admitted that he was definitely a good looking guy. When he said “You’re not ugly and have a mid body” it was a little sting, but I absolutely understand that attraction is so personal and that we all have certain traits and features we’re attracted to and some that we aren’t or could take or leave. I respect that any man here doesn’t think I’m necessarily their cup of tea. The only thing I was really hoping to prove, is that I was my ex’s cup of tea. Ariel has been his li…

But I did answer your question. I said at least twice in my answer that I’ve also gone on multiple dates with guys who are not very conventionally attractive (non-Chads) if you will and that I wasn’t very attracted to them and couldn’t force it. But also, yes, spending 12 years with a man who was incredibly insecure about his hairline and back balding areas to where it ruled his life and where we could go out, and his anger issues that often stemmed from being short, definitely left a really bad…

First, I absolutely hate the term “Chads” as it sounds so juvenile to me and like it’s from guys devoted to Redpill who aren’t very attractive or confident themselves, so they have to call anyone else good looking or tall a “Chad” to demonize him. And no, I’ve also gone on dates with some fairly normal looking guys, as well. I just wasn’t very physically attracted to the ones that were on the much shorter side for me. Who are you asking this question to? You replied to the person who I was replying to. In case you meant to direct this question to me, I’ll answer. Yes, I was previously with a much less attractive man for many years prior. He was much shorter at 5’8 and was balding. It was a huge insecurity for him and we often couldn’t go to a nice restaurant if it required him to eat without his cap 🧢 on if he didn’t feel he was having a good hair day. He wasn’t jacked at all. In fact, he had a huge beer gut belly since the day I met him and had a horrible hip problem that prevented him from going to the gym. He had a hip endoscopy while I was with him. He’s just simply a big guy and not skinny. The suit pic is at my Christmas company party where suits were required. Huh? I was just as attractive as him. I modeled for some years. Strangers used to stop us regularly in public and tell him what a lucky guy he was and how it looks like he’s with his niece. He wanted to be taken care of financially, and not have to provide much for a woman on his part. Yep, I agree. I haven’t known anyone personally who’ve met on Christian Mingle and E-Harmony. As a woman, I prefer to find men on apps, 1000%. I’m not in school, the large majority of men at my workplace are already married or not very appealing to me, and I don’t have much time or interest in going to clubs and bars. You can liken it a bit to houses and rentals being listed on apps like Realtor, Redfin, and Zillow and the absolute ease that provides versus you having to find out about house listings from realtor workshops, housing seminars, or building convention events. Yes, you’re exactly right. Both of your sentences are correct and dead on. I’m sorry that it has to be this way. That would be very hard. Redpill lied to you about their tactics. Inversely, if you were a woman that made much more money and was well off, but not a head turner in the least, it would absolutely make up for your lack of looks, and would attract more men that are looking for a certain level of comfort, taking care of, and lifestyle, that wouldn’t have ever considered you before. Incorrect. I was completely honest about my answer to this question in this thread below, and fully admitted that I go for the tall guy (and preferably 6’4, but 6’2 minimum) and his appearance first vs. his money. Past his appearance, if he’s an absolute self-absorbed, narcissistic asshole that demeans women and others, I won’t want to see him again as soon as I find this out, which is usually incredibly quick into the dating princess. Usually one to three dates in.

Lol I’m not just fucking around. To assume that anyone going for appearance over someone’s paycheck is “just fucking around” is ludicrous. And it shows that you, yourself are not a very physically attractive man, and have been told over the years that if you just make up for that with your career and money, that it will compensate for your looks and you’ll land the right and great woman so desperate for your money because “she wants to have kids.” Sorry to burst your bubble on that one. Not always true at all. I will choose appearance over stability, every time, and always have. And I’m not a financially well off or remotely wealthy woman or anything, so that has nothing to do with it. I don’t put much desire into a man’s earning trajectory or his Tesla. I’m much more about face, height, hair, intelligence, and wit. That said, a guy that’s obsessively going to the gym every day of the week is also a big turnoff for me. To be honest, no, if you’re referring to their looks alone (but not job/career/status). I will fully admit that I’m innately very much looks (face and hair) focused, and quite a bit more so than many of my girlfriends. And I have to honor that need within myself. I’ve tried swaying from it. I’m a “face” person at my core, and faces are what moves my needle. Yes, I’ve unblocked the guy who kept harassing me after every single comment, calling me a liar, ugly, and all women leeches who seek free meals and beg for money from friends. He’s free to continue to attack me again now.

I’ve never ever gone for rich men. I’ve always gone for your average earning man. I’ve simply been on dates with men that are on the wealthy side and specifically chose to never move anything further as I didn’t like the way they spoke about others or nurses, etc. One doctor who asked me out it turns out had a wife and kids, too. I quite literally have NEVER been attracted to wealth in all of my years. I can assure you of this. Looks, yes, money, no.

Do you have to reply to every single single solitary woman’s comment in here with a nasty and hateful reply? How incredibly angry are you at women? This has to be a massive anchor around your neck for years now. I feel so badly that you despise a gender this much

And that’s where you’re completely WRONG. You vehemently HATE women. You despise women. I ADORE men. Some of my best and closest friends are men who would take a bullet for me. I lead a men’s self help group and also provide relationships and marriage advice to them and have been heralded as the angel that’s saved their marriages.

I’m sorry you’re so hateful. I’ve modeled for years. I’m sorry I’m not allowed to say I’m attractive in a comment when it’s relevant to how you all view attractive women only going for guys with money.

Once careers began, Having 3-5hr after work to cook/eat/relax before having to be asleep to get up early enough to workout before working the next day designates the weekends as cleanup/laundry/errands/talking to people and maybe relaxing before the cycle continues. This is exactly what us single women feel. Every ounce of it. It’s incredibly hard to manage life completely on your own with all of the work hours put in, times you’re expected to stay late (especially if you’re childless) and bosse…

Cool. These are US stats ”Wealth matters when it comes to dating for men, in a way it doesn't for women.” Quite the assertion and you speaking in absolutes. My previous ex ended things because I wasn’t able to provide him a certain level of lifestyle and didn’t have a high enough earning trajectory for him at his age or 42 and me 4 years younger. Physically, emotionally, and mentally I was his dream girl, but not financially. He’s now with a woman twice my size and who looks ten years older than…

Okay, whatever. You’re right, I’m wrong. Women always earn less than men and bring home less than men. Sorry for the B.S. headline, Peter. More Women Are Their Family's Sole Breadwinner Than Ever Before More women are the breadwinner at home, but most still say men treat them differently at work Breadwinning Mothers Continue To Be the U.S. Norm

I never ever once said my experience speaks for all of them. The way you’re dialoging, I’m simply matching your same energy. You very clearly feel women are bad, and men are good victims. And I'd much rather be a billionaire, but I'm not, am I? Yet many men can do this. If you were a highly physically attractive man, you’d have much more success at a woman taking care of you. You just have much less options of this being you, and it’s never been an option for you before, so it seems unreal. Did you think most men enjoy working their asses off? No, it's a sacrifice they make for their families, and it goes unappreciated too often. Absolutely not. I’m the most grateful person on ea…

I’ve known and talked to a LOT of men, colleagues, and friends over the decades and the overwhelming consensus has always been from each of them that they don’t find any internal urge to provide and that they’d so much rather be someone that stays home and the woman provides for them. These exact words and phrases have been said by them to me. As of right now, 49% of U.S. women are the primary breadwinners.

This is so untrue. The most people who care about earning trajectories in life that I’ve met, have been men. How much do her parents have? What does her dad do for a living? What kind of car does she drive? Where did she go to school/college? What is she pulling in a year? Who does she know? (Social status/climbing) I know multiple men who’ve lived off of their wives and then received alimony, and other men who specifically date for a woman’s money and what she can provide him.

So they all should’ve settled on you first instead? Also, FWIW, I initially essentially married the man that ticked off only some of the boxes. Was with him 13 years, and boy did I feel like I settled so badly over time. Thank you. As an attractive woman, a man’s high socioeconomic position has never been what attracted me or what I sought out. Men have actually been surprised that I was so into them without this. If anything, the more money and power you have, the more narcissistic you may be and feel rules don’t apply to you and treat people poorly like objects, while also being way too busy to actually put any time into a relationship. I avoid a rich man now. I’d much rather champion a normal guy.

I can accept being judged by looks just fine by men. I value men’s appearances just as equally. I could easily that it’s men who can’t accept being judged for their appearance via height by some woman. This cuts both ways.

Sorry, but you’re generating. As a woman, I absolutely value men as physical objects for me to gaze at, stare at, swoon over, hug and kiss and dote on, etc. I prefer looks over success. I find that often the more successful a man is, the cockier he can be, the more arrogant, and the less time he’ll have to spend with me because of his line of work.

Men valuing women based on appearance is not misogyny at all. And I say this as a woman. Perhaps you mean it could be looked at as objectifying women. But as a woman, I absolutely value men based on appearance. Does that make me a misandrist? Nope. It’s perfectly normal to value a potential partner based on looks. Hopefully that’s not all they have to offer, but we’re very much programmed to be naturally attracted to those we find to be attractive. I also find many men highly take into account a…

I couldn’t agree more, and I’m a woman. After seeing and reading the essentially r/SourGrapes of so many men on Reddit feeling decimated by dating culture for them and how unfair they deem it and the level to which they’re near suicidal over it, they shouldn’t be on OLD at old. Unless you’re attractive or have legitimate confidence and an attractive personality, you’re going to continuously strike out. It’s not for these guys. Better to just remove themselves from the dating pool.

Interesting and biased take, yet the first question men ask me is “So what do you DO for work?” and the most money focused people when it comes to women I’ve ever known in life have been MEN. Men that are living with and mooching off of women that make far more money than them, and stringing them along with no “I love you’s” over years, and the woman is footing the bill on all. I see this repeatedly.

The bottom line is that OP simply has never experienced a woman asking him out on a date and paying for it, nor has he heard of it amongst his friends, as he keeps claiming, so for him it’s an exceedingly rare event that pretty much never happens. I’ve had a low number like next to 0 the majority of my life and men have moved on, so this is another reason that I know that low body count means nothing to them. They’d much rather have a wealthy woman that makes a lot of money. And yes, I don’t need to look for a guy that doesn’t care about body count as it’s the majority of men I go for anyway. Never been an issue.

With your Edit: I can tell I definitely wouldn’t swipe on you. I don’t like guys that are obsessive about the gym and for you to even mention it means you are obsessive about and it equates a lot to your self-esteem. An overly muscular body on a guy who brags about it is really unattractive in my experience and shows a lot of things will be lacking in his actual personality.

You sound like you’re quite feminine looking, almost like a pretty male model with soft features if women don’t feel pretty enough for you. I personally don’t like “pretty men” like you. Feels like I’m with a woman. I actually used to coach men in dating and relationships and I’ve heard it all. I’ve also seen men leave their girlfriends after years when the man was the first person they’d ever slept with. Previous sexual history count falls low on the pyramid of wants and needs at the end. So a man that’s had a lot of partners is a “man-whore”? I’ll take those men every time. Thanks. I guarantee you most men who are HOT, sexy, and inherently funny, social, and charismatic, actually do not care about body count. An attractive and secure man will never ask this question, nor would he really care or be threatened by the number.
