A good safe topic for the conversation could be "Do you have any plans for the holiday?" Then follow up questions with whatever they say. Or, "This is my first time here and everyone has been so happy/wonderful/welcoming what about you?" As a fellow introvert, I usually "accidentally" forget my gum in the car so I can have a reason to leave for a few minutes to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Thank you for taking the time to write all of that. Discovering that you have the ability to love multiple people who are different and feel different is initially very jarring This pare here, I know it's true in theory but of course at this moment in time I can hardly believe it. It's a cycle of "I swear I'll never love again. Then, I've never loved like this before".

I was in for 8 years and saw more women than I can count get stuck in a similar situation. Taken out of their home towns and put in some armpit of the Earth duty station with no friends or real support. For sure get out there and find some stuff to do. I've had a lot of success with meetup dot com.

Yeah similar situation here. He was in the military then wouldn't stop drinking and being up all night. For 2 years I encouraged counseling and he had no interest in getting better until I left. It was hard considering if I should go back but if that's what it takes for him to listen to me I can't imagine it being any different in the future if I'm 100% honest with myself.

As I was told per the mods, as close to verbatim as I can recall, it's because our capitalist society was created by the same pigs that created and help the patriarchy endure. Since you are obviously an opponent of feminism in every facet, you therefore support patriarchy, and therefore support capitalism. It's a personal choice though. You could die from alcohol poisoning and you can't sue anyone because you're allowed to drink. Instead we could only allow people to join who are willing and able to user performance enhancers. Thousands of ethics board members are probably rolling over in their graves at the work to make that happen hahaha.

Because your physical fitness goes into how you are rated for promotion. If using enhancing drugs will put you in the top 10% of fitness then everyone else will have to in order to be competitive for promotion. Not that that should be the biggest factor, but I could see it favoring those who choose that over time.

With my ex (4yrs together) I thought it wasn't going to be a big deal that we were quite different but it caused numerous unresolvable arguments. I'm right in the middle, with a little bit more toward blue. He was red like a firetruck. My current and I have just about the same views and neither of us care of politics beyond out local township/city and we are infinitely happier for it.

Well if your partner feels like poop over their appearance they aren't happy, probably don't want to do as many things, and generally are not as good to be around as they could be. If some money thrown at the problem could fix it, why not? I'm in this boat right now. Dislike my breasts due to a very noticeable size difference and so always try to stay covered up. My SO has made it known money is available to get them adjusted so I'll be happy.

A lot of things mentioned here are excellent. What helped me out when trying to be ore feminine was when meeting new people I tried very hard to convey a feminine attitude. My old friends always knew me as a tomboy so trying to get away from that was impossible at first. So when I met a new person they never knew me as anything else. If you tell him you are being open but then won't he always be wondering while he is gone? What if you don't see that person again until your SO returns then you show him the message and explain that you took steps to never have a run in with the friend? If he was gone for work or something where he needs his full attention I would hold off but if not then maybe tell him soon.

I'm my experience (YMMV) he only way to change someone is to be the living, breathing, everyday example of that thing. I want Lisa to be courteous, so I am courteous. Mark cant fathom people having happiness without religion, I am happy and never even joke once about being sad from lack of divine guidance. I am back in school to finish my degree I'm 29. If you want to stop I strongly urge you to finish up math or physics (if you are taking them). For me they have been very difficult to get back into, use it or lose it. If you already have all the calculus in your head just finish it now so you never need to come back to it.

My SO worked at a place that did loans and mortgages many years back. When he got there he was low man on the totem pole and worked from 7am to 7pm and there were more night than I can remember him just sleeping there to get more work done.
