This already happened. Over and done with. It has already been established this wasn't family court. It was a hearing over restraining orders. Read the thread before you start shitting out your fingers. OP also didn't read, and that is why they misunderstood as well. Look at the final paragraph if you need clarification on what the hearing was about. Ex-wifes lawyer didn't have any more questions and the judge dismissed the case and the restraining orders. The original post said the hearing was over and the other lawyer showed up late as did the x lmao no it didn't. You clearly didn't read original post. The OP there hadn't been a case for months. The Original post was because of an impending restraining order case. He filed a document with the court claiming she was in contempt of a court order, (the original custody agreement, I wasn't present for that. This wasn't family court. If anything it was restraining order court. Wasn't over custody, was about the 3 restraining orders served in the original post. I think ex-wifes side didn't ask for a continuance because he may have had to ask for a favor or something to get the case reopened. It was bullshit that the judge dismissed the case because she and her lawyer weren't there, and then reopened the case after the lawyer came in and asked. That or they expected a much different outcome. Not sure …

everyone else has to wait in the hall for their case to be called. Doesn't seem to be the case here and also in USA. You get to watch all the other proceedings. No phones allowed. They had all sorts other people there. It was like watching a Judge Judy-Jerry Springer crossover. I want to say it may not have been family court. It seemed like every person was there for a restraining order.

His child support payments are about to go up. He will be spending more time in jail for various reasons (missed payments, false charges, etc). He could very likely to lose his job. This sounds rather bleak, and I would normally brush it off if the part quoted above had not already happened to him. Not directly due to the situation, but the stress of things and being in his head has caused him to slip up and he lost his good job. He is working now, but he is scraping by.

He is about to represent himself and I don't know if that is the best plan of action, but he definitely cannot afford long litigation battle. His ex-wife can though.

His current wife is going with him. She was actually present for the fall. We were in another room. I have watched enough Judge Judy to know I am an unreliable witness to this. I wish I could help more. Best I can do is make a post on reddit and hope for some advice.
