Increasing sexlessness among younger generations (of both sexes) is a problem because it's for the wrong reasons, namely a decades long deterioration of the social fabric. People have fewer friends than years past, go out less, have delayed markers of adulthood, more mental illness and mood disorders, and so on. This happened for a variety of reasons, like stagnating economic prospects, increased screen use, and car dependent urban planning that leads to isolation and alienation.

The internet overstates women's libido because the idea is attractive to a lot of people of different ideological camps, sometimes for opposite reasons. Compare lesbian behavior to gay men to see the gulf.

I think it's not necessarily true that porn and casual sex make people miserable (although they might), but that miserable people tend to engage in casual sex and porn, and drugs, and spending a lot of time watching tv and movies ("binging" is a telling term), and other maladaptive behaviors. In other words, if society were improved, and everyone had a better sense of community and belonging, people would spend time on nobler pursuits.

I once read an article about a hunter-gatherering tribe and their sexual habits, and the married couples would (so they claimed) make love 2-3 times a night. I'm guessing most industrial people would consider that a lot. But rather than being about erotic bliss, it was framed more as a necessary reproductive obligation. Their euphemism for sex was "searching for children."

Habitual female masturbation generally helps women orgasm with a partner. Study: Determinants of female sexual orgasms: In this study, female relationship quality was not associated to masturbation frequency but general sexual satisfaction was lower among women who masturbated actively. . The promotion of self-stimulation via masturbation (Komisaruk et al., 2006) is assumed, especially in sexual therapy, to contribute to an increase in female orgasms. In this study, women did not have more frequ…

You can really see this in fan fiction and smutty art communities. Gay men generally like hyper masculine ripped dudes (bara) while women like toned pretty boys (yaoi). There are certainly some women who like big hairy guys too, but it seems like a minority, or maybe it's one of those cyclical fashion trends.

Most people get married and start families. In the sense that feminism has succeeded, it was a project by the capitalist class to enlarge the labor pool. One major struggle, at least in America, would be to secure family leave, better wages, and affordable daycare, which you could call a feminist struggle if you want, but most mainstream feminists would probably denounce it (see their reaction to Bernie Sanders).

They want to feel validated, important, and like something about them has won over a woman. This is a noble sentiment, but it seems those who set high standards for male sexual behavior end up disappointed. I'm just old enough to remember when such arguments were made about internet pornography.

A lot of men who "contributed to society" (I assume he means philosophy and inventions) aren't exactly lady killers. Isaac Newton died a virgin, as did many scientific minded monks. Alan Turing was gay. Richard Feynman was a womanizer but I think that was more about his charisma than his knowledge of physics. That post is actually a reversal of tradition. The idea was that women were the virtuous high-minded ones who civilized society, which is why they shouldn't lower themselves into the morass…

I don't know why men need relationships so bad, to the extent they die much earlier without them, something about men being incomplete, needing a maid and live in therapist, needing some kind of anchor to calm their minds, who knows.

I would like a desexualized culture, so maybe, but men will harass, control, and have sex with people they don't consider attractive, so I'm not sure if that's quite the same. You also make it sound like media wouldn't change much, so bit of a wash there.

Reveal their browser history and many men will seem creepy, young or otherwise.

Naturally, maybe not, but modern society makes most men fall short of their potential due to diet and lifestyle. When I look at old photographs, before the obesity epidemic, many men seemed leaner and more appealing. Women can carry more weight and still be beautiful, but men lose their appeal very quickly as they get puffy and lose definition around their jaw. "Dad bod" was a laughable media lie.

Most of the subs for women that detail the truth about male sexuality have been banned or gone private. Some basic tenets would be: men will fuck anything, including children, animals, and corpses, so attracting their attention shouldn't boost your esteem. Male sexuality is sadistic, pedophilic, and variety seeking. Men will cheat when you're pregnant and gain weight, they'll watch disgusting and abusive porn, they project their flaws onto women (men are the ones who are emotional, for example, …
