I'm not really familiar with how these cases go in the states, I'm from Englnad myself. If he refused to pay the money, what would be the outcome, would it be jailtime? if so, how long would the jailtime be, because to be honest, I think I'd rather do the jailtime than have some gold digger have $5m of my hard earned money.

Middle-east is classed as Egypt, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia which are RIGHT near to Pakistan and India, so sure, if you want to be anal about things India is 'technically' not part of the Middle east.
