Yeah that seems to be right. I just haven't looked the exact stats up in a long time (and I'm too lazy to do it right now lol) so I didn't want to say anything definitive in case my memory was being dumb or if things had somehow radically changed in a short amount of time.

I see what you mean. Sorry for misunderstanding. I think there's some mistake being made when it's called a lack of "men's rights". I think it's more of a stigma against men speaking out about their troubles or seeking help for them that users here are trying to fight against. It's not a "lack of rights" thing, it's a social thing. I'm not trying to put words into his mouth, just trying to find the cause of the discrepancy in numbers.

I'm not playing the victim man. I'm not trying to make men out to be victims or "oppressed" in any way either. But I do want people to stop killing themselves. And men kill themselves at a disproportionately higher rate than men. This is fact, not "feelings" or whatever. As to the cause of that, you can believe what you want to believe. I understand the pushback against the whole "I'm a victim culture". But to talk about suicide victims saying "you guys have a victim complex"? That's pretty cold…

If I remember correctly, statistics for suicide are significantly higher in men than women. Yet a lot of places have women only support systems, but neglect the men. Thats not to say that womens suicide is to be taken any less seriously as anyone else's, but a lot of people are frustrated that there doesnt seem to be as much concern as there should be for men in terms of suicide. Mental health in general is a horrible problem, for women and especially for men.
