She's gone. If she's not already fucking your replacement she will be the day after one of you leaves.

Try to get the divorce done quickly while she's still on her emotional high from the new relationship.

Every 30 months she has to move.iut for her own place for a while 🙂

Cut off her access now. Give her cash for anything she might need to buy, talk to a lawyer, and file for divorce first.

Don't? Why would you want to get married again?

Wild ass guess, she's trying to get you to leave the house without paperwork. Also could be financial, if you make more this trying to milk you like a cow. Get yourself a lawyer yesterday.

First pregnancy? Hormones are no joke. Comfort her and make her feel safe. When my wife was pregnant with our second daughter, she broke down crying over the US striking Syria in 2017... logical? Sane? Not at all

She's already gone. Get a lawyer. Don't leave the house. Let her move out. Consider secretly installing cameras as long as you're both in the house to prevent any false accusations. Lock down any joint accounts to she doesn't leave you broke. Anything you consider especially valuable or important, consider moving into a storage unit off-site so she can't take it with her. Mentally prepare yourself to find out she's been cheating on you. Hopefully, she hasn't been/isn't, but don't delude yourself…

Not a comment on keeping her on or not, but qualifying life events like birth, marriage, adoption, and divorce let you change your insurance. So talk to your lawyer and when ghe divorce is finalized you can take her off

So you have 300k equity in the house? I know rates have gone up, but if you're dead set on keeping the house, can you refinance to pay her out? You wouldn't need to take the whole 300k out, just enough to pay her off.

You're here, so you're probably red pill. So decide your mission and lead your family along that path. Do your research and put real numbers to things. If you want yo buy your mom a house in 15 years, how are you paying for it? Cash or taking a mortgage? How much will this house cost? Same thing with your marriage, do you have a house now? When will you get one? Where and how much? How much do you want to retire, and when? Work backward from there. You can't run roughshod over your wife's object…

Im going to give contradictory advice, a lot of marriages end up in trouble because they aren't on the same page financially, in big things and small things. So not just a joint account but jointly agreeing to a budget might be important in your situation. Big things like buying houses, buying new cars or used, and how much you save for retirement, general emergencies, and other big family purchases. Small things like do you buy Starbucks every day? What about buying the latest color stanley? On…

Talk to a lawyer and find out what a divorce would look like, get real numbers, not just internet advice. Unless you're living in a situation that is both well below your means and clearly way too small, not just relatively 5 move to make her happy. You can't make her happy, and if you give in, she will just threaten divorce over the next big thing she wants. Don't do things you don't want to do, don't make decisions that hurt you and your goals (like spending more money so you can't save, or li…

I'm not going to dig in OPs post history. We don't know what they each make, and don't know how long they have been married. She may or may not get alimony, and it may only be for some number of years. Assuming a community property state default would be half of assets and debts, maybe he keeps the house and she gets more cash. Maybe the house is sold, and any equity is split. Talk to a lawyer and find out what divorce would actually look like.

Is al your retirement in an IRA? If you have a 401k with enough yu could borrow that instead of cashing it out.

Going to depend on state laws. I bet the lawyers will argue that with the short marriage and immediate cheating that she was looking for a pay day. But again state law will come into play

No fault divorce doesn't mean you can do anything you want without consequences. It means you don't need a reason to ask for a divorce. I've read in some states cheating can influence things like custody and property division.

It's not women aren't hypergamus(sp) it's both that they are horrible at using reason (as men understand the term) to make decisions and that they prioritize how they feel at any given moment. To them their feelings are their "truth" so I'm sure OPs ex wife felt she was making an upgrade.

Look into your state child support laws. Some states have a cap of some sort, after which you won't owe more child support regardless of your income. So if you can figure out how to make a bank, you will still come out ahead

Each of you are entitled to half of the marital assets, how that works out in practice can be a matter of horse trading, someone may get more cash so the other doesn't have to split retirement etc.

Reminds me of the meme: what is the proper order of the star wars movies? 1,2,3,4,5,6? 4,5,6,1,2,3? Answer 4,5,6

You're going to have to get an attorney. She's trying to scare you and screw you.

You might be able to petition the judge to force her to sign off on selling. You might consider, if your financial situation allows, giving her a "reasonable" amount of time to refinance and get you your 50%. But as much to show the judge how reasonable you've been but now it's time to sell.
/r/Divorce_Men21/09/24 04:58 PM

Im not a lawyer. Consult your lawyer. Do you have any written proof of her agreement to sell after the divorce? Did you two ever discuss the timeline for selling, or maybe it's mentioned in the divorce decree? But talk to your lawyer, you might be able to "force " her to sell, or get the court to order the sale.

Don't take advice from the other side. She's looking out for her. You need to look out for yourself.

Yes its Normal. A lot of couples where one spouse has a higher income/better retirement savings options for steg at home or low income spouse won't put "their" money (no such thing in a community property state OR effectively in a marriage) into retirement, letting the high income spouse save for both. Think of it this way, if you had known this would happen you would have either been asking for half the money the whole time, or would have (rightfully) prioritized finding better job and saving "…

Some advice, only sleep separate if someone is sick. Always eat at least 1 meal together (dinner) no Phones in bed, no TV in the bedroom. Go to bed at the same time, read, talk, cuddle, sex. Don't eat dinner in bed.

Nothing locks down someone who isn't willing. But the things a man values, that actually add benefits to his life when coming from one woman (loyalty, motherhood, housekeeping) as opposed to sex if he can get that from multiple women. And being alpha doesn't have anything at all to do with "respecting" women. Beta AFCs respect the hell out of women and look where it gets them

That's the joke yes. IRL men will stay with women for even mediocre sex, much less the men who stay with "crazy in the head crazy in bed" chicks.

Men will put up with a lot for good-enough sex. How are men like tile? Lay them right the first time and you can walk over them for life. For what its worth it probably works on betas for different reasons than sex works for women. Beta is as much a worldview as anything, and in that traditional plow horse worldview if she's giving you good sex it's a sign she likes you, that she wants you. It's a (covert contract) implied commitment. So if she's giving "her best" why wouldn't the bets commit?

It doesn't work on alphas because alphas can go out and get sex with different women. It does work on betas. The problem women (awalt/nawalt) have is 1. They either actually don't understand the difference or are lying to themselves, and 2. They don't have another tool in the toolbox. The only thing of value a woman who tries to lock down a man with sex has to offer is sex. She doesn't know or care about being loyal, about helping a man on his mission, doesn't cook, and doesn't want to carry his…
