2	Some compassion Maybe you need to redefine compliment. For example I take it as a compliment if someone simply puts away their phone and looks me in the eye while we speak. Or if someone smiles at me for no reason. A compliment doesn't have to be direct, and if you expect it to then you're in for disappointment.
