One thing good about this is it is in the public eye. The majority of people who are not ideologically biased to be on Mattress girls side, realise how bs this situation is. Yes, I can do that, I can empathise with what the man went through, but I will not extrapolate that to say, as the post I replied to does, that because one man went through a terrible ordeal that it makes: the world a living Hell for all men It clearly doesn’t. It is about Justice, which was done wasn’t it? The man has been cleared and the woman is now been ridiculed for her insane claims. I think there are two sides to this. Heterosexual and homosexual men do have more sexual freedom, as in they are not insulted for the amount of partners they have, they can have casual throwaway sex with whomever without being judged. However, women are freer in their sexual ‘expression’, as in dressing sexily, being bisexual for instance, or being ‘kinky’.

TBH, I like Toksvig. I don’t think this will affect the quality of the show at all. She is a seasoned presenter and I listen to her on Radio 4’s News Quiz (a radio comedy show) every week until she quit. Let’s face it if one was to ask Mr Fry if he was a Feminist he would most likely answer “yes” as well, I really don’t think this is a ‘mens rights’ issue.

Actually, given a number of recent relatively well controlled studies it could be argued that lifting is one of the best ways to get and stay physically fit. Oh entirely, don’t get me wrong I am not arguing that it isn’t effective form of exercise, simply that most people seem to do it for the aesthetic rather than the fitness aspect, at least in the context of this article anyway.

It’s an interesting trend. Most adolescents now seem to attend gyms, and it is becoming part and parcel of ‘lad’ culture.
