And how does cherry picking the context right out of the previous post help again?

Who cares if they get confused? If you truly want to interact with them, go for it! They'll either adjust to your new found outgoing nature, or you'll find out VERY quickly that they aren't worth your time anyways. People that see a positive change in someone and react poorly aren't they type of people you want to spend your time on.

What do you have for hobbies? Being passionate and good at something helps my confidence a LOT.

Pretty much this. Unless she planned the whole thing out, you basically pick everything back up after the "want to go? yes? cool" stage. You can still say "Sure, X place at Y time?" and you're right back to taking the lead if that's important to you.

What do you have to lose by going besides like an hour? Don't put yourself in a position to wonder "what if...?"

my favorite thing to say when they offer Facebook is "WHOA! Slow it down. I don't need you seeing all that private stuff on my Facebook just yet. Let's start at the phone number and see where that goes first..."

The longer you've known the girl without setting an expectation of romantic involvement, the harder it is. In my personal opinion you have 2 options here: 1) Accept that she is a friend, and use THAT to your advantage for getting dates. (female wing-woman, have her introduce you to friends, etc.) 2) Make the move. This is really only an option if you're willing to lose her as a friend. This is your all or nothing move. If she views you as just a friend, she may feel awkward about you after, or b…

I dunno... I like when a girl can joke like that. I'd be more turned off by a self-righteous speech about how you shouldn't say certain words, etc. As far as online dating meet ups, I generally don't do dinner. Coffee or drinks on the first meet, in case she's the WORST. It's easy to transition to something else (dinner, back to your place, whatever) if you hit it off, because she most likely will want to hang out more as well.

I've noticed this in myself honestly. I used to be depressed, anxious, and extremely overweight (300 lbs @ 6'0"). I had just lost my father, and subsequently my car, job, and apartment due to just being soul crushingly depressed. I've spent the past 2 years really working on myself, and have noticed VAST improvement. I'm no longer depressed or anxious regularly, and have the ability to deal with the feelings when they DO come. I'm eating well, lifting and exercising regularly (down to 191 lbs as…

Unless you're in the top 2% of males you're going to have to put some effort in, yeah. But when the effort you're putting in is for improving your own circumstances (ie: I want to see if she's cool and if she's good enough for me vs. I need her because X/Y/Z) it becomes a lot more fun, and a hell of a lot less "work" If you approach a girl and find out you don't actually like her much, why waste your time and energy trying to do anything with her? There are so many other girls more worthy of tha…

I have a feeling this is an issue for me as well. I think I may have slight OCD about needing everything filled in though... Glad to see you're having some success with it. Do a FR on the dates next week! :D

As a man, we will always be expected to initiate and maintain an interaction. "Being the prize" isn't about sitting back and "letting them all come to you". It's about understanding that the girl you're approaching isn't "better" or "above you" in any way (putting a woman on a pedestal). When you approach a girl, it should be about getting to know her enough to see if SHE is good enough for YOU, rather than playing some song and dance to maintain HER interest.

Make sure you have one dot on your crotch, and one each on a buttcheek... all different colors. With those kind of odds you're sure to have fun :P
