I'll grant that probably most high-schoolers don't actively try to self-improve, they pretty much just do it from the inertia of growing up and maturing. But life happens after high-school, and the first steps of being an adult is setting goals in life, and actively working towards them, one of those goals is usually what kind of person you want to be, and working towards becoming it. What are you gonna do if not that anyway? You need something to do, otherwise you get bored

"Up to 16 years", she won't get that much, crimes have ranges depending on severity, she will probably get a year or so, maybe 2 more on probation

Carabinieri are gendarmes, don't think you have those in the states. They are basically better equipped and better trained police, sort of the mid tier between regular cops and SWAT

I believe he is actually allowed to do that, if someone obstructs his duty as it's technically trespassing on the Queen's property. Obviously they won't shoot some dumb tourist who's in the way, but it would be legal for them to do so

I'll allow that the guardian has a strong feminist bias and draws stupid conclusions, but it's still not the case of a women using her pussy pass, it's just an article and a response to it. About your second link, it is reasonable to ask for a retraction of a paper if you think that the methodology was flawed and the author published the work without correcting or addressing the criticism of peer reviews. Here is one of the peer reviews that criticizes the author methods and conclusions, I perso…

In the 2018 election there have been 228.5 million eligible voters in the U.S, of those, 118.7 mil were women, 109.8 were men. That gives us a percentage of 51.95 to 48.5. Yeah, the difference isn't 2%, it's 3%, my bad. Of those eligible voters, 153 million were registered: 81.3 mil women and 71.7 men. That means that 53.1 of registered voters were women and 46.5 were men (the percentages don't add up to a hundred because I rounded down second decimals) We can conclude then that you got that 16 …

Ok, but I still don't see where did you get the "women are the overwhelming majority of eligible voters" or that "women have a 16 point advantage over men" . I assumed you got that number from the percentages of eligible votes cast, because the difference between total eligible voters who are women and the total eligible voters who are men is less than 2%. If not from there, where did you get that 16 point advantage from?
/r/PussyPassDenied19/11/20 10:11 AM

I read it about 10 times, you are gonna have to make it more clear
/r/PussyPassDenied19/11/20 07:47 AM

Where did you get that 16 point advantage? In 2016, 63% of women who were eligible to vote said they cast ballots in the presidential election, compared with 59% of men. That 4 percentage point gender gap is similar to the 4-point gaps in 2012 and 2008 as well as the 3-point gaps in 2004, 2000 and 1996. In overall population, the ratio of women to men is 51-49, this data doesn't translate to anywhere close a 16 point advantage

An overwhelming majority means >66%, I think you mean just a simple majority

Sometimes that might be just a random guy who doesn't even know the girl has a boyfriend in the first place. I'd say he's only a big asshole if he was a friend because then he also betrayed his trust. A random guy doesn't have any responsibility if he just hooks up with a woman in the club and then it turns out she has a boyfriend

Yeah, I try to differentiate between women who are remembered because they did great stuff (Marie Curie, Catherine the Great etc) and women who did stuff other men did as well but only stayed in history because it was a woman who did it (although Amelia Earhart is probably more famous because of how she mysteriously disappeared rather then the trip itself). So basic rule of thumb: Would it still be remembered if a man did it? If yes, she deserves the praise

When the 30 years war started in Prague in 1618 after some bureaucrats got thrown out the window, they decided they we need a term for it to mark it as the event that started the biggest war yet ( at the time), so they called it the "Defenestration of Prague" and a new word was born

It wasn't the petition that did that, Blizzard already knew there were fans that wanted Classic and after a ton of begging on forums, interviews, market research and I suppose the petition was a drop in that wave too, but it would have happened without it. And even still, they were skeptical with the amount of success it would have, the proof being the fact that their servers where overwhelmed
