Look in local classifieds for vacant land. You can even contact a land owner that might have some extra space he's wanting to sell. A local realtor can help out a lot too. I would check the soul before you buy if your planning on planting anything. For me, i wanted seclusion but something relatively close to town. You're already a master if you're on the path of MGTOW. For me it started as a crazy idea. Now I'm living it. Go for it, dont worry about failing here and there. Figure out what works for you and mist importantly don't let any (wo)man sway you. Good luck.

I do plan on putting up a modular or mobile home in the very near future. I'm In my area of South Carolina a "fixer upper" 2 bedroom 11/2 bath mobile home costs about 12000-15000 dollars. Hope to get that soon and work on my well and solar power system. I have a full time job, living out here just helps me keep the costs of living down without sacrificing too much. The freedom is the best aspect though.

I've actually had a buddy live out here in a camper for a few months while he was in between apartments. He seemed to fall right into place even without the everyday amenities he was used to. It's alot allot of fun to do it alone though too. Just do a bunch of research/planning, psych yourself up and jump in. I think living off the grid in varying degrees is appealing for most guys. I love camping and hearing the sounds of nature so it was great move for me.

I agree, the lack of television has really been a blessing. I currently have a small gas powered generator that works fairly well when im in a pinch and need some electricity.

Absolutely. A firearm is essential for protection especially in a secluded setting. I had a really rough, homeless looking man walk down my driveway this last past Friday evening. Both dogs where inside and the gate was open. Typically the dogs discourage the curiouse folks. Nonetheless, he walked past multiple no trespassing signs. It's funny you say that because I used to do that all last summer and fall. Fell out of habit in the colder months but yes that does work. I would take 2 one gallon jugs of water, stick them in the freezer at work. By the end of the day they're frozen and ready for a cooler. It is the easiest and most economical way to go for refrigeration. The ice would last between 1-3 days depending on the quality of cooler and outdoor temps.

Probably going to convert it into a game room or workshop. It's about the size of a large bedroom raised off the ground by about 3 feet with a corrugated steel roof and wood siding.

I'm 29 and have lived without running water or supplied electricity for almost 3 years and don't regret any of it. That being said, it does take some getting used to. I started by saving around 5k a year when I was 21 and eventually purchased 2 acres of heavily wooded property in one of the more rural parts of town.
