Do you know why safe haven laws are set up? It’s to help save infants from true abandonment in dumpsters and alleyways. “Just don’t name the father” how stupid is that? This is a great post, but the safe haven law is for parents in general, not only the mother. And in my state at least (MA) the baby has to be 7 days old or younger to avoid abandonment charges.

All I’m saying is that it’s a symptom of a TBI, and we’re taught that it can be bad. She probably was ok, literally all I said was I hope she’s ok and that it looked bad. Seeing a spastic arm or leg would definitely not be a “brush off” moment like you make it out to be.

It’s not a school, it’s a class I had to take for my recert. Limbs sticking out like that is usually a sign of bad TBI. It’s not always the case but if we came on this in the field that would be our first thought

Another thing, not sure where you got minor concussion from. When someone’s arm or leg sticks out like that is usually indicative of a pretty bad TBI or spinal injury. I just took an M&M round on ortho/neuro trauma a couple months ago so I’m pretty fresh on this.

It doesn’t seem as though you’ve ever been to a state psych hospital, but they’re terrible. Unfortunately, since a mere sexual assault allegation can ruin someone’s career (doesn’t even have to be a male who is being accused) I think that this penalty helps make sure that these accusations aren’t made lightly. Also, if you can’t prove that you were raped, then maybe it didn’t happen?
