You don't owe anyone a relationship. Leave him. I spent too long in a bad marriage. 2 years after he cheated and wouldn't own up to it. Gaslighting and doing nothing around the house. My parents were furious I left. But I've never been happier. I have my own place, a great job, and I moved to a better state. I get to decorate as I please and don't need to clean up after a man child.

Me too. I bought a pink couch and no one can say anything to me. No one to veto my decorating style, clothes, tv show, or food i want that day. I can work on my hobbies without having to cater to someone.

I have one child but when I was married it felt like I had two. I was doing all the emotional labor. My husband wouldn't ever ask what was for dinner or if he could bring something. If i didn't cook he would just eat all the bread. Now that I'm a single mom, my life is so much easier.

Abuse in general as well. I was so unhappy with my parents that I was happy to leave and get married. I stayed married so long because it wasn't as bad as when I was with parents.

My brother told me that I don't owe anyone a relationship. If you are not happy leave. You don't need a reason. This helped me leave my unhappy marriage even with the pushback I was getting from my mom to stay.
