This is only true if you believe there is not difference between a mother and a father. If you believe that a parent is a parent then yes this makes sense. But all the studies show that the most well adjusted people are on average raised by a mother and a father. So a mother cannot replace the role of a father and a father cannot replace the role of a mother. We are a sexually dimorphic species and that should be celebrated. We should celebrate the things that fathers bring to the table on fathe…

You are right, we may not fully agree, but that is quite alright. Single fathers who try to fill the role of a mother Though I do not think you meant it in this way, but this is pretty much my point. A single father will try to fill the role as a mother but he can't, just like a single mother will try to fill the role of a father but she can't. And the role of a mother vs a father isn't that the father works and the mother takes care of them. From the studies I have seen they account for not nec…

It isn't about her directly. So it doesn't really matter if it is about her, or her mother, or her friends or any of that. None of those people are fathers. Women deserve all the praise in the world for raising a child into a well adjusted adult (especially if they had to do it alone) but not on fathers day. The being a father and being a mother are 2 completely different roles. That is why the data is quite clear that a child who is raised by both a father and a mother is on average more succes…

Why does she feel entitled to congratulate herself on a day that has nothing to do with her? You don't have to nor should you celebrate an absentee father but that doesn't magically make the day about her either.

Why does she feel entitled to a day that has nothing to do with her? It isn't parents day, it is fathers day. Women have mothers day to celebrate all the unique things they bring to raising a child from the prospective of a women and men have fathers day to celebrate all the unique things they bring to the table in raising a child from a male prospective.

Nobody said she was talking about all parents. The point that is isn't her place to butt in on fathers day. Single dads don't butt in and claim that mothers day is for them also (and if they do they should be chastised). This isn't a day for single moms this is a day for fathers. Let them have it.

That was addressed. They never paid a publishers fee. It was peer "read" by 5 people. And despite being designed to make no sense with just sort of an anti male vibe to it. It was full of non existent references. 5 people reviewed it and approved it without receiving money from the authors. 1 stating no changes needed another only wanting more "sources". I also recently read a real paper called, "Phallic Affect, or Why Men's Rights Activists Have Feelings". The shortest explanation I can come up…

Fell bad for such short responses but did you hear about the, "The Conceptual Penis As A Social Construct" paper?

Depends what you mean. The MRM? Sure. I am a men's rights advocate in that I advocate for mens rights but I disassociate myself with the movement because of what people within the movement says/believes. Though I will say it isn't really an apples to be apples comparison as MRMs and don't have the number money or good graces in the media to get away with what feminists can.

Unfortunately I am busy, so I need to keep it short. But the movie is specifically done by a feminist that was trying to do a feminist documentory about rape culture when she went down the rabbit hole and took the "red pill". So the film is from a feminist perspective although she no longer labels herself as a feminist. And you can find videos of the protesters specifically asked/demanding why the film makers didn't go to there feminist group to help make/fund it.

Excellent answer! I don't have too much to add. I think we likely are very similar in our beliefs

Mansplaining is now in the oxford dictionary with the definition essentially being a man being condescending to a woman. I have had it used against me many times in real life conversations as well. The evergreen thing is largely by people within the gender studies community which would be dishonest to say that they aren't feminist. The Earl Silverman thing is a bit tricky and maybe unfair but the pressure to make domestic violence a womens issues and compaining for bills like the violence agains…

I guess I should clarify what I mean by "large and out of control". I don't mean minority or even necessarily close to that. Whay I mean is large enough in number regardless of percentage to cause real (and quite scary) change. Things like what is happening at Evergreen. Even in the mainstream you have things like, "manslaining" which is replacing a word thst already exists (condescending) with one that is weaponized against 1 sex. Granted manslaining doesn't have much of a negative effect on pe…

I assume you would consider yourself a feminist? If so, can I ask why? You have a group that has a large, out of control population of misandrists (though they believe they are striving for equality). Even if you want to ignore them, the ones that you believe actually are striving for equality are doing so in a way that you disagree with. Why not find a movement that actually follows closer to your beliefs? Whether you agree they are feminist or not you have people that identify as feminist that…

The very most basic idea of feminism is agreeable for virtually everyone (IE dictionary definition). But once you get to real world application, this can be either law makers or academics it becomes problematic. Whether we are talking about the false association of the earning gap as a wage gap, or misrepresented rape statistics, or the painfully lacking credibility that we just saw from feminist academic journals with the fake paper getting "peer reviewed," accepted, and published by a respecta…

To be fair there are plenty of reasons to dislike feminism, it is far from just the "tumblrina" types.

I am not a big fan of either the AA channel or the Skeptic Feminist channel, which may be irrelevant because a good cause is a good cause. Link?

It doesn't necessarily get worse than what you have watched so far. My friends and I also have a dark sense of humor and would be fairly similar. But I do think there is a difference between that and being a "public figure" and blasting it for the world to see before the body even cools. My guess is the "sjw" crowd will have a field day quote mining that hangout. EDIT: to be fair/honest. It didn't stop me from watchimg the whole thing. Just didn't feel like it was the best time or place

Agreed. Sargon (who is a personal favorite), vee, and several others had live shitfest directly after that I felt was a little tasteless

They had a fairly small sub count but seemed to be VERY involved in a lot of the feminism vs anti feminism clashes. He never seemed to be THAT crazy other than his kinda psycho rant after the wooly bumblebee incident. And yeah this is from their twitter today

Thought it was crazy, but wasn't sure the best place to post it. Figured this place has a large hatred for feminists and even a feminism flair.

From what I have seen it is anywhere between 1-7% (hard to nail down completely). Which is within a standard deviation (at least if I remember correctly, but definitely within 2 standard deviations). Which makes it statistically justified. Especially when you consider the fact that women on average make more than men before the age of 30.

Umm... feminist had a male abuse shelter shut down and drove the founder to suicide

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
