These books and some of these coaches basically lay out how a high value guy would act in situations: how to handle shit tests, meeting on first date, dealing with jealously, how often to text, and you can basically just copy that until you have the successes to build the confidence to have your own style. I resonate with OP, im not bad looking, but I would kind of mess up some basic stuff when I started cause I simply didn't know. Like when do you escalate or start to show sexual interest, I di…

Read Models, or listen to The Unapologetic Man Podcast. Having that framework for me helped a lot when I didn't feel high value, I could just resort back to the framework and fake it a bit

Yes, I used to live in a small town where I didn't exactly fit the demographic there so it was really just a massive suck fest for 6 months until I moved. I still went out every weekend, tried gambits, failed a ton. I would joke that I need to get my rejections out of the way and go up to girls and basically get rejected, even by ugly girls. It was bad. I kept getting better and better, though very very slowly. It was deflating but really built my tolerance for rejection and failure. It wasn't u…

I know a lot of guys who dance a lot at bars and never touch a drink

Right on man, dancing will open a whole new world for you. How is it going?

OP I don't know what the hell has happened to this sub that so many commenters are disagreeing with you. I've been meaning to make a post about how seemingly backwards and anti PUA this community really is sometimes. Maybe I need to find a new sub to learn and talk about this stuff.

Tampa and St. Pete is pretty good, I would move there next, plus the beach

I disagree, maybe if you are already confident, have several women in your life (Meaning you just wont respond to some girls for the whole night cause you are with one), and naturally have hours where you literally cannot respond and the response times are then sporadic this is valid but most guys looking for advice here are not in that boat. KISS, they should respond in about the amount of time it took the girl to respond or longer, and if she double texts sometime later you can respond right w…

30k to over half a million. Was a big change. If you are gonna be a student there that might work well. I didn't go to 4 year College so I don't really know what its like. I'm also an adult with an office job and simply cannot mentally relate to a girl in college

Interesting, that would make sense. I was pretty young pre pandemic so I couldn’t say on that. It’s definitely nice to see a hot girl, and then take her home that night though. Idk how I could do that without being close to downtown like I am

More than 400k less than 2.5 million lol

I recommend anything where the man is the lead and is popular in your area. I think I just looked up “dancing near me” and checked out a few places. Salsa, bachata, swing

Hope your move goes well. So many reasons to live in a larger place, younger demographic, not as much slut shaming imo, more types of girls, more jobs, more guy friends, reputation is easier to keep safe (won't get labeled as a player as fast or something along those lines), I could go on and on

You need to just build up to it, ask 3 girls for the time and nothing more for the first day or week. Keep building up

I feel like I have the opposite problem with women where I can only be a flirt, don't know how to just chat at this point. I do a decent amount of ribbing, guessing what their jobs are but picking weird things like ice cream man, saying something off color and if they laugh I go "Wow why would you laugh at that you horrible bigot", stuff like that

I feel like moderation has slipped, lots of weird opinion pieces on here lately.

Not that anyone thinks #1 is underrated by my god did that change my entire life. Struggled to get a good girl every few months before I moved and now I'm getting 1 to 3 a week depending.

Without knowing the whole story hard to say. It also doesn't matter, you just need to move on and not waste any more time on her

I have also felt people are pretty standoffish in Boston, didn't spend a lot of time there though. I have a friend there for school and he says he loves it, you really just never know how a place will suite you unless you visit

I've had such an opposite experience here in Austin. Ratio doesn't really matter as you said most guys just stand around. Girls are super friendly, even the guys are mostly pretty nice. It is super easy to take out of town girls home, need to just live downtown so its not this massive ordeal to get back to your place. I feel like Austin gets so much hate on reddit and it isn't deserved.

That has been the single greatest thing I ever learned from the book Models. Whenever I first meet a girl for a date always hug, then tap her shoulder when I make a joke, then poke her in the side when she laughs at something inappropriate or something. I used to just show up and not initiate anything and it always went bad.

Best time to do all that was 10 years ago, second best time is now. Look back on your life happy that you did it at 29 and got to see what it was like.

Ya, I’ve seen that inflation locally where I’m at when the college girls leave for the summer. I didn’t realize American dudes are so sought after overseas, interesting

There are definitely some cities that are easier to date in than others on average, trying to figure out what that thing is. Maybe is really is just coming down to male to female ratios.

I listened to the unapologetic man podcast and he has a few episodes on getting rid of approach anxiety. Basically you can start out by just asking girls really simple things and then just leaving before she rejects you. “Hey is X place down this street? Cool thanks” Not something I want to recommend but alcohol really helps me a lot. Had a couple oh shit I’m getting older and keep saying I’ll start and never do come to Jesus type moments. Also once you get that first success approaching isn’t j…

I remember the first time I got rejected in public and it ruined my whole month. Now, single again going out every weekend I don't even remember or care who rejected me; I only remember the girls i get. It is hard to get over that first hump though i'll admit. And I still need alcohol, work in progress

I think you should check out a male improvement sub first, get your life straightened out a bit. Become someone you would imagine a girl would want to be with

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
