Like many people say, Hollywood movies are not a realistic depiction of courtship/dating/relationships. I saw Hitch for the first time today and while I did enjoy the movie overall (there were some nuggets of wisdom and some were lame), the first line is absolute money: “No woman wakes up saying, 'God, I hope I don't get swept off my feet today!” They're rooting for us, man! If she shows a sign of interest, be your authentic best self!

I like to dance for cardio. In my house by myself. I put on a playlist of songs I love and go for 20-40 minutes. It's all improv, so that adds a creative/spiritual aspect as well to get out of my head. Plus it's great practice for the clubs.

Clear and purposeful language is supremely important when conveying a message. I was tempted to say, "great post!" But value judgment is one of the many impediments of clear communication, so instead I'll say, "I enjoyed reading your post." (I could and likely will make a dedicated post on clear communication). Also check out Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to understand the "why" of emotions. Despite the name (which is a bit of a misnomer in itself), the knowledge and practice has been incredibly helpful for understanding myself as well as understanding and relating to others.
