Relevant section from the actual study: What is the Ideal Female Body Size and Shape? Both male and female participants created an ideal body that was significantly different in body size relative to their own. The female participants significantly reduced the body size and the male participants increased it. Although some studies have suggested BMI is the primary predictor of female attractiveness and that shape is of marginal importance this study suggests that body shape is a significant fact…

You put way too much importance to socially imposed gender roles. Most people just behave however they want, it just happens that things are termed masculine because men are often predisposed to them and feminine because women are often predisposed to them. It doesn't mean anyone is typically doing things against their natural inclination, they quite often behave indifferent to the existence of those roles. For example, if a guy wants to be homosexual in most progressive societies, then quite of…

The CDC has some good data on sexual activity that you might be able to use: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/nsfg_2015_2017_puf.htm I think this is the one: ftp://ftp.cdc.gov/pub/Health_Statistics/NCHS/Datasets/NSFG/2015_2017_MaleData.dat

But Chad doesn't have to live alone right or do you mean single?

We need to see the sexually active percentage of non-married non-loners, to check up on how Chad is doing.

Maybe their questionnaire description of loner nearly precludes intimacy with any partners.

Uh no, I can't verify the data is accurate, properly presented, or even real? Because I haven't found it's source yet.

You know it really bothers me when people source their information from click-baity online news sites, since often times they'll misreport the data, or just outright get their numbers wrong, and you just know you can't trust them when they don't even do the bare minimum of correctly citing their source. So then people like me have to try searching through the muck hoping to find the actual source data to be able to draw any actual accurate conclusions. As of right now I haven't found it, but I g…

If you want a relationship, but you're not willing to pursue any guy who shows sexual interest in you, then you're essentially looking for a friendship. Most people aren't looking to jump into a relationship with someone they don't know, but will often be willing to have casual sex while getting to know someone to see if they are a good fit for a relationship. If you only want to have sex with guys in a relationship, then put it on your profile and insist on only going on dates without sex.

Yeah you seem to be misinterpreting what happened. At no point did anyone in your story say you did anything wrong. That doesn't mean she is obligated to continue dating you, but it sounds like you're being needy, and other than that nothing is wrong. She may fit under the common phenomenon where some people can't properly handle intimacy and stop after the first time of intimacy, this is often are called "anxious-avoidant". Either way, no one in your post said your behavior was at fault.

The actual explanation is that a higher proportion of men are unlikely to be able to father children, but those that do (desirable men) are more likely to father many children. Women on the other hand are much more likely to be able to have children, but have less ability to have many children compared to men. This is a common theme in biology since females usually have more direct cost into child-bearing, and are therefore more selective. Therefore more unique female mothers due to high expecta…

A lot of single women’s lives almost revolve around finding a better partner Not that much effort when you're often looking to trade up.

It was almost definitely sarcasm, "being attached to someone" is essentially the bare minimum of a relationship. "I have emotions, which is a lot of emotional effort, and that's what I contribute to this relationship. My contribution is being a vulnerable person who needs a guy to help me." It's very silly and the opposite of meeting halfway.

Lol, ELO's existence is speculation, then he speculates that it was changed, but points out that the change has no resulting change in the outcome. So how tf does he have any reason to believe that there was a change if it is an undetectable change in an unconfirmed sorting algorithm?

This agrees with my year so far on tinder: https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/search/?q=tinder&restrict_sr=1 I had a gorgeous gf for most of college, but on tinder I barely get any matches, I went on several dates with one girl that went nowhere because she was more interested in some other guy. I did also get a girl who wanted to hookup, but by the time I made certain she wasn't a catfish she'd moved on. I seriously have no choices, I don't get to have standards for anything, either swipe…

Hmm I see. Self-absorbed and no consideration of others. I feel like it isn't a perfect fit though, since OP is instead being presumptive in his considerations of others. Solipsism would be if they didn't matter / he didn't consider them at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/19 03:45 AM

Yes? That's exactly what I said. Under solipsism one cannot know someone else. The opposite of your statement above.

Wait solipsism is the idea that only one's own mind can be known. You mean it's the opposite of solipsism.

Using outlier cases is not much of an argument for disproving what are considered typical behaviors of each gender. Men want sex, so logically they do what gets them more sex.

The X% : Y% rule only considers within relative age groups. No one care about the ~30% or whatever of women under 15years old. The age divides all favor men being less selective anyway. But for the most part people only car about similar age men to women percentages.

I mean... I'm not advocating for any doctrine, but truth isn't some unattainable myth. Ignore all those labels and nonsense and accept that there are basic patterns and variations of human behavior. It's pretty easy to see the frequent motivations and tendencies of either gender.

It's not my opinion that people believe that circumcised men had no observed issues, it's just the reality of why the legislature in the USA hasn't made MGM illegal. I don't know why you're being so pugnacious, I'm just explaining reality, I'd very much prefer it wasn't that way, but this is the way it has been.

You're funny, but your view on genital mutilation, while I agree, doesn't make it a crime in the USA, legislature does that, and unfortunately that legislature has only been passed for females and not males. female genital mutilation has which only became illegal by the Female Genital Mutilation Act in 1996, probably due to evidence that is violated the unalienable right to the pursuit of happiness, in that it did impede women's lives, whereas in men they didn't have this argument, since the vas…

Freedom of Religion mate. You really missed the whole point of the USA stance on government, individual, and religion. Freedom in this case is the overarching idea that the individual should have and needs to be protected against the government in order to have the right to practice whatever religious beliefs they have, as long as they don't violate other's rights. The reason circumcision isn't covered as one of those rights is because the baby can't oppose the rights of the parents, and not eno…
