What Are Your Favorite (Or Most Lusted After) Cookbooks?I have way too many cookbooks, plus I like checking them out at the library as well. Some of my favorites are the Cuisine at Home magazines/cookbooks. They have complete meals included, and it was my first introduction to that "perfect meal" with all the flavors complementing and balancing each other. I also used one of their holiday meals for my first time cooking Thanksgiving and made the best gravy ever. Definitely good to use when you want to impress company. I don't get the magazine anymore… | /r/RedPillWives | 21/09/18 03:14 AM
What Are Your Favorite (Or Most Lusted After) Cookbooks?I've been to several bridal showers where they requested a favorite recipe, that's a fun way to add to your collection. | /r/RedPillWives | 21/09/18 03:02 AM
KonMari Folding— Does Anyone Else Follow “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up”?I've used the KonMari technique to clean and organize my house. I replied to the post about "Cleaning with my demons," so this is a bit of a repeat, but the points I found most helpful are (1) visualize your ideal lifestyle, (2) tidy by category, with sentimental things last, and (3) store things where they belong at the end. I really love the idea of thinking of your final goal/lifestyle before you begin - life with a tidy house, what things you enjoy doing in your home, how you'd like to live.… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/07/18 03:16 AM
Cleaning with my DemonsFirst, please remember that cleaning and tidying are really two different things. Cleaning is removing dirt, literally making things reasonably clean and sanitary. Tidying is the bit where things are put into their proper place. You successfully keep the kitchen, bathroom and pet areas clean: you are not a slob or a dirty person, and frankly, you're doing better than a lot of people. It sounds like you do struggle with organization and tidying, but that's totally fine, it's just a matter of find… | /r/RedPillWives | 13/07/18 10:26 PM
Ideas for work lunches/snacks for my husband?I'm a bento fan too! Because the kyaraben - character/cute bentos - became famous here first, there's an idea that they involve a lot of time, or that they're only for children. Really, it's just a meal packed in a box. The decorative ones are a subset, but most are simple everyday packed meals. Two websites I really like are justbento.com and justonecookbook.com. The first site is not updated as much now, but still has lots of ideas/recipes, even a weekly bento planner. The second site has a ni… | /r/RedPillWives | 20/06/18 07:19 AM
What do you wish you'd done differently on your wedding day?Be sure the person marrying you arrives, and don't lose the marriage certificate before you get it sent in. One idea I've seen that was really nice was to give the tossing bouquet to the couple married the longest. It was very sweet, instead of gathering the singles to be humiliated. | /r/RedPillWomen | 20/04/17 09:17 PM
Disney Part 1: Introduction, and AppearanceI can see that Snow White might not be a favorite, I admit that even though that voice style was popular back then, it grates a bit now. And despite her age, she's rather naive, but still she makes the best of a bad situation, remains kind, and can cook! Yes, I read one time that originally she didn't have rouged cheeks, and Walt wasn't very happy with how she looked but thought it would be impossible to color her cheeks well on every cell. The Paint ladies said they did their own makeup every d… | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/17 03:19 AM
Disney Part 1: Introduction, and AppearanceThis is great! I'm a little sad you don't have Rapunzel (my favorite!), but I'm excited about the next installment. I always feel compelled to defend Snow White and Aurora from the lazy feminist complaints. Snow White even found a job and new friends, and they still whine. And poor Aurora, how could she rescue herself when she was under a sleeping spell? Ah, now I've gotten started. | /r/RedPillWives | 19/04/17 05:17 PM
Q4W - Women of RP, Can You Describe the Exact Benefits You Received From Virginity/Waiting to Give Sex?Well, I'm part of a no-sex-until-marriage religion. From that perspective, the value in waiting is that it's God's command. I've heard tales of some churches really harping it, with purity rings, or this sex-is-evil admonishment, but that's not really how we view it. Sex is a special blessing that is reserved for married couples, so the norm in my church is virginity until marriage. We're expected to refrain from that, just as you'd refrain from lying or underage drinking or whatever. I guess th… | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/04/17 05:09 PM
Which city/town in the States is ideal for a RPW?Well, my first response would be to avoid California, but I'm sure you can find nice people and create a nice life there if you choose. I recommend considering your future goals and plans when choosing a place to settle down. Here's some things to think about: Cost of living. CA is really expensive, property prices and taxes are unreal, and they have all kinds of other taxes. I know a couple that moved from CA because they both had to work full-time just to afford to live and she wanted to stay … | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/04/17 04:41 PM
I'm physically attracted to my husband but I feel completely fridgidI hope you can find a doctor who will help you (not one who gives vague references to kegels and tells you bodies change after childbirth). Meanwhile, definitely look into pelvic floor exercises, not just kegels. Here's one interesting article: https://mamasweat.blogspot.com/2010/05/pelvic-floor-party-kegels-are-not.html The woman she interviewed, Katy, has blog with more info about squats, proper movement, and the pelvic floor: https://nutritiousmovement.com/when-push-comes-to-shove/ I haven't … | /r/RedPillWomen | 11/04/17 06:34 PM
He is running himself ragged and I am at my wits endSince you say he isn't doing well at either the apprenticeship or school, it sounds like something's got to give. He may need to decide to focus on the apprenticeship now, then do schooling once that's finished (or vice versa). Barring that, there's a couple things he can do in the meantime. He's spending a lot of time traveling on public transportation - is he using that time for study or sleep? It's not as good as a full night's sleep, but it would help, just be sure to set an alarm on his pho… | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/03/17 06:26 AM
SAHMs and SAHWs: What do you do all day?I think it's helpful to think of cleaning as separate from organizing. Think about wiping down the counters in the kitchen: spray some disinfectant, wipe of with cloth or paper towel. Two minutes, right? So what takes so long? Moving things around, tidying up so you can even begin with the actual task. If basic cleaning tasks are eating up a lot of time, take a look at organization and tidying first. I'm fond of Marie Kondo's method - you'll find her books at the library if you haven't read them… | /r/RedPillWives | 02/03/17 06:41 PM
| – | RPW, I'm too stuck up on my virginityI second what other commenters have said: this shouldn't be your "best" feature, you need other hobbies and interests to be an attractive person that someone would want to date. It sounds like you already enjoy working out. Do you enjoy any sports or activities like biking/hiking? That's a great way to make new friends and talk to guys without the "date" pressure. What kinds of books do you enjoy reading? Any hobbies - knitting, drawing, woodworking? Everyone feels awkward trying to express inte… | /r/RedPillWomen | 24/02/17 07:50 PM |
