It’s enough to come to a reasonable conclusion. I’m aware there could be doubt, but there will always be doubt. Plus she saw the trial, she is informed enough to make a stance on the topic.

He was found guilty by a jury. Sure you can make your own opinion on the matter as is your right, but as far as what you should and shouldn’t label as a rapist, being found guilty for rape is a fairly reasonable bar

It’s important to not assuming him immediately as being guilty, buts it’s equally as important not to assume these woman are lying.

I can’t put blame on the company here though, I completely understand the logistics of a decision like this. This is a societal problem that makes businesses in situations like this have their hands tied.

To understand your own point of views best you need to understand others. A very general definition would be they were fighting for the equality of woman, how that is manifested to individuals and the masses over time to me doesn’t diminish the initial intent and goal of the feminist movement.

I personally defend feminism because of the humble origins of the movement. I think feminism, without the modern additives is most beneficial to society. I additionally believe that woman are still marginalized in certain aspects to society. However I’m also an Men’s rights activist. I don’t think being a feminist in my own personal definition conflicts with my men’s rights views

Just to clarify, I don’t feel safe walking alone in unsafe neighborhoods. But I do feel safer than woman I’ve spoken to on the subject. Everything is subjective in this sense which makes it hard to evaluate, but that’s just my personal experiences

Well I’m privileged in the sense I feel much safer walking alone in public. I don’t have to deal with a period (even tho ik that is by no means society’s fault there.) from my expiriences people are more likely to view woman as easier targets for manipulation. There’s plenty, but there’s also plenty where the woman has the advantage. That’s what I’m trying to get at here.

People are way too black and white these days. As a man yes I am privileged in certain aspects of life, but I’m also at a disadvantage in plenty of other areas. Black and white thinking destroys moderate and logical thought.

You’re very young, many people your age simply lack the maturity and experience to process situations like this properly. All you can really do is keep in mind you didn’t do nothing wrong and not sweat it

Even though you’re being greeted with some pushback I applaud you for posting this. Men’s rights cannot delve into men vs women. The only way to make progress in a society is together

This is a really depressing way to look at the world not going to lie.

Hopefully justice is served and she gets the help she needs. Although I’m afraid in the US only one of those is usually possible

You should try to have a sit down conversation about how you feel about things. Because if the issues go unaddressed conflict is unavoidable. I would avoid trying to persuade her or change her mind because that’s how arguments start and people shy away from compromise. Just let her know that those sorts of views are really hurtful to you (which is completely warranted btw)

Men can show their breasts, woman can’t, idk how you can’t see that

Well, a man can walk around shirtless without penalty by the government, in select states, a woman cannot. That’s how

The harsh reality of situations like this is that they are inevitable, especially in a high school climate. My piece of advice would be to advocate just like people are advocating for women. You’ll get in trouble when the advocating turns argumentative. And women do have struggles in the modern world, however that doesn’t make our struggles as men any less real or any less serious. Wish you the best in treading through all the bullshit out there, cause there’s a lot of it

It’s more of a equality argument than them actually wanting to go out topless in public. Which I think is fair

The outlawing of psilocybin is one of the most damaging effects of the war on drugs medically speaking. The potential benefits are so great and the risk so low it’s so sad that government legislature does absolutely nothing to legalize it

Marriage is very little up side with a lot of unnecessary risk. I don’t need a government paper to show my affection towards someone

The way they speak of men with autism is disgusting and arguably dehumanizing. They talk as though men with autism are these mindless beings bound to becoming far right extremists.

How does advocating for women’s issues somehow invalidate men’s issues? I’m aware I’ll be downvoted for this but just because people are saying women are struggling doesn’t mean they are implying that men aren’t

My take is that it’s not because of one gender or the other more, it has more to do with society’s view on marriage

No I don’t think you understand his comment, you’re quoting someone that wasn’t said in the article and is therefor false

Another quote explaining the article, “But the rising rate in young women was particularly noteworthy to the authors”. People on this sub are so anti feminist that they don’t realize that the account is called huffpostwomen so of course they are going to highlight female problems. Don’t know why you’re getting mass downvoted for being reasonable
