The only people I support on immutable characteristics are children in hospitals. Otherwise, I support who/whatever is the best support for my wallet. Sometimes I will try and support local if I know someone or if they are a friend of a friend, otherwise I just look for the best price for whatever I am looking for. I just had a Facebook memory pop up from 2011 when I was in college with me being sarcastic on my status about the gender war crap and animosity you speak of. Those interactions were in person and not just some "online culture". This didn't just crop up overnight with a viral tweet or something. That only exacerbates the underlying issue

I hate this particular rhetoric alot actually. Why do you get to proclaim what a "real man" is but no one can comment on what a "real woman" is? Why do we get to listen to women's lived experience while "Listen and believing" them but cannot listen to men and immediately wipe away anything they have. There is a trend on tiktok called the "Soft Guy Era" with the tagline Drizzle Drizzle (Sprinkle Sprinle's other half) to showcase how the behaviors in dating are acceptable by society on one behalf and not the other. Was watching the Croods in theatres when I thought the dad sacrificed himself to save the family. Tearing up and sniffling at his sacrifice and love for his family to keep them alive. Buddies girlfriend laughed at me and made jokes about how soft I was. Women laugh at men for crying no matter how close they are
