Yeah, it's just been several times that I came here and each time someone was "you better be trying to pick up other women too and not just the one you're interested in" or "sounds difficult, ask someone else out". It seemed to be pushing their own choices onto others or expecting everyone here wants to pick up as many women as possible, while "many" here are just trying to get a girlfriend.

Yeah and this sub is quicker than most to point that out. I just expected it to be more result based. As in: how to successfully seduce anyone, rather than how to minimize rejections when approaching 100 people. This sub is more focused on the work rather than the end goal it seems to me.

Yes it's a skill that can be learned and get better at. But if r/dating was like this sub, it would imply most people there are trying to date as many people as possible. See my confusion now? You can seduce a single person, you can date a single person. But this sub carries some implication that people are seducing without the goal of actually trying to win someone over, just for the sake of the skill. Same would be if people were trying to date people not to ...enjoy being close to someone the…

Thanks for the explanation. The sub's name isn't really self-explanatory imo. It's like going to a sub about sex and finding out everyone there has sex with 3 different people each day. Like, it could have been for married couples looking to improve their sex life. I assumed this is a general seduction sub, not a "try to flirt with everything that moves" sub. It could have been about how to get the love of your life to like you back or something too. But somehow the majority of population here s…

Could you explain to me why does everyone in this sub act like "approaching girls a lot" is a sort of hobby? They're all assuming we all want to approach a ton of girls. I just want to approach a few that I really like or am interested in. I don't want to build some...approach skill set or become the master of approach, I just want to approach a few people without inconveniencing them. I have 0 interest in approaching 20 people a day, I don't even meet 20 people a day that I'd like and I don't w…

I see, that's good advice. Not sure how i'd pull that off but if i ever do approach while she's with the mom, I'll make sure to acknowledge her. I'd be polite no matter what, especially towards anyone older than me. Thanks!

I guess that's good advice, even tho her mom is clearly like 50-60y old and she's under 30, lol.

I rarely approach people tbh, I was in relationships for the better part of life. Only single since recently but I do plan to try to meet other girls I like. This one I just spotted multiple times. Don't really have much other girls I'm interested in that are single.

I didn't, i just met her on the street, just recognized her, I never talked to her. It's a small town.

How would a gay person befriend someone like that tho?

Lmao, you have no idea how many friends gave me the same advice. I even met her mom alone a few times, but never the daughter.

Tbh no. Nobody ever said looks are irrelevant to them and they also don't care about looks as much as we do. Guys mostly go for looks, but much less guys would date someone "ugly" than girls would. They value looks less, maybe cause they don't look for who to seduce next. But when they are, in the club or whatever and plan to approach a guy, obviously they'll approach someone attractive cause they don't know anything about anyone in there and nobody is charming yet, so looks is the only metric t…

Yeah, thats kinda the issue I keep having. To me not inconveniencing another person is more important than approaching them, so the result is that I rarely ever approach anyone. My gripe with most tips by guys who are versed in approaching people is that they tend to ...not care about making the other person uncomfortable? I was told to go talk to a girl at her work place a lot and it just seemed unacceptable cause i'd be a customer and she'd have to be polite to me and couldn't make an excuse t…

So all of you are married to people you didn't want or something? You seem to be treating his post as if he's asking "how do i become a playa?" which he isn't. Maybe he doesn't want all the girls, maybe he wants this one and the fact you're claiming thats not normal is just ridiculous.

So the advice is: Don't talk to girls you like, but ones you don't like? I'm clearly in a weird subreddit, bye.

Even if adding strangers on fb is creepy, he is past that point and obviously the girl doesn't find him creepy anymore since they're (I assume) talking and getting somewhat well along. So it's irrelevant. I personally don't and wouldn't add strangers on fb, heck, I don't even add acquaintances. But if it's something that works for this guy, I don't care that a bunch of internet weirdos finds it creepy. The fact we're all in this subreddit is already creepy, so we're clearly not the best people t…

Wow, this subreddit is pretty hostile. Don't listen to them imo. Where I'm from it isn't strange at all to ask online people out. I don't do it cause i was in 2 long relationships, but I never heard of anyone finding that creepy or whatever. My ex-gf is now getting countless such inquires on instragam and she enjoys it. If one seemed charismatic and appealing to her, she'd go out with them. It sometimes feel like this sub is disconnected from reality. Wonder what's their opinion on Tinder then..…

Not every girl is gonna give a number no matter who approaches them. Some have a guy they like already, some aren't comfortable giving their number, some have NO as their default answer so it would be that no matter what. Plus it sounds like you only hit it off with the first girl. Also not really sure why do you need 3 numbers daily, but then again, I accidentally ended up in this subreddit so what do I know. I don't mind the I like your face part, but you seem to not have paid attention to wha…
