| 0 | Feminist Debates Me On Wage Gap, I Cite A Scholarly Harvard Article And She dodges The Debate (More Info In Comments)I agree with that one hundred percent. Again, in my experience, the feminists that I talk to would agree with that as well. It comes down to what people are told they can/should do. I agree that things are changing, and some people are moving towards teaching young girls and boys a wider range of options. But there are so many traditionalists out there who still want to reinforce strict gender roles. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 26/05/20 08:03 AM |
| 2 | Feminist Debates Me On Wage Gap, I Cite A Scholarly Harvard Article And She dodges The Debate (More Info In Comments)Exactly. When people discuss big topics like sexism, inequality, etc it's important to make distinctions like that. We all know about the equal pay act of 1969. So yes, obviously it's illegal to pay women less just because they're women. But I'd argue that most of the non "pink pill" feminists would meet you on this. That's my experience anyway. The reasons behind the earnings gap is a whole other important conversation. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 26/05/20 12:16 AM |
