I feel like people have lost all sense of nuance when it comes to interacting with others. A lot of progressives would completely refuse to cooperate with a person with whom they are 90% in agreement. We don’t agree when it comes to cultural appropriation, but can we shelve that discussion for later and try to take down the literal fascist oligarchs that are currently ruining the world and raping children on a private island? No? I’m problematic for liking Twilight? Well ok then.

No worries, and thanks for clarifying :D

I looked it up online and what I got from the AI was ‘Medical Termination of Pregnancy’ 😅 I did find some studies containing it. I think it’s maybe still not as commonly used though.

I haven’t been raped so I can’t speak for rape victims, but holy shit, I don’t know if ‘it’s better to get murdered than to live as a rape victim’ would make those victims feel better. Like, that’s kinda what ‘rape is worse than murder’ implies, right?

Isn’t it the other way around? Multiple women would date one man, not one woman would date multiple men. Not disagreeing with you, but I think you might have gotten the two mixed up

I’d argue the middle class is also included in this, not just the lower one. Possibly also middle-upper in many cases. 90% of men or so at least. I’d also argue that this, as well as the majority of our other societal issues is caused by the top 0.1% of our population. Men and women with more wealth than all of the other classes put together. These would be the main people with an actual vested interest in maintaining current gender roles, amongst other things. Like, your next door neighbor, be …

Well no, you’re dating. Unless you specifically met her on a dating app or a mixer though, you will have a phase where you’re in a platonic relationship. First you become acquainted with someone, then platonic, and from there it can develop into a romantic relationship.

Don’t you usually need a platonic relationship to develop deeper feelings towards someone? The friendship stage has to be there at some point. It’s not acquaintances -> romantic relationship.

Basically, he has feelings for her, hanging around with her as friends after she rejects him is painful for him, so the best thing for his emotional well-being is to cut her out of his life. Does this always happen? No. Some men tough it out and get over their feelings. But you can’t blame a guy for not wanting to go through all that.

It’s possible that you’ve just stumbled upon a bubble of women who have this preference. Absent any statistics, that seems like the most likely thing to happen. If there really is a trend of women wanting to be lead, it could be some sort of ‘return to the womb’ impulse in response to our current economic and geopolitical climate. When everything is going to shit, having someone in your life who provides and makes all the hard decisions for you can be comforting. Sort of like pet play or age reg…

I mean, the reason you’re currently able to live in peace and don’t have to risk getting killed by a superior male specimen when going out to forage is also modern technology. Your right to live a peaceful life is dependent on agriculture, medicine, etc., all technologies that were invented and perfected by people who were much smarter and more productive than you. If, going by your argument, women are fucked without modern technology, you can be 100% sure you’d be fucked as well. Figuratively, …

I absolutely do not agree. You can rightly argue that many medical specialists are wildly underprepared, not empathetic, stuck in their ways, etc., but on average you’re still much better off turning to a specialist rather than an alpha podcaster. You can’t derive a healthy lesson in self improvement from someone who sees 50% of the earth’s population as second class citizens at best, and subhuman at worst.

I don’t think that would be a viable long term solution tbh, though it’s still better than tuning in for Andrew Tate’s Sideshow of Horrors.

I mean, so are all alpha podcasters. With specialists you have a decent chance of finding someone who wants to and can actually help you, as opposed to someone who just wants to fleece you for your money and probably doesn’t see you or anyone else as human.

If you can’t afford a therapist, even a book written by one would still be head and shoulders above the advice of any alpha male podcaster.

Absolutely. However, it’s the difference between paying a dentist to fix a tooth as opposed to paying some shady guy behind a Walmart to do it.

I mean, there’s other options that allow you to strive for self improvement, like a good therapist for instance, or a book by an accredited specialist. I’ve watched some snippets of the occasional red pill podcast and those people sound genuinely mentally ill. Kinda like a mirrored version of the ‘kill all men’ or ‘all heterosexual intercourse is rape’ branch of feminism. These red pill podcasters aren’t actually trained in psychology, psychoanalysis, etc. They’re just spouting off bullshit that…

What the fuck did I just read? EDIT: I’ve just read a few of the other comments and fuck my life, this is AI? People can’t even be bothered to type out their own insane viewpoints now and offload that job to the clankers?

This is up there with ‘all intercourse is rape’. Respectfully, there is an unimaginable variety of human experiences and lifestyles. Making the sort of blanket statements you’re making pretty much ensures you’ll be wrong by default. Not to mention the statement about men in general jacking off to your relatives comes off as absolutely bonkers, and kind of sounds like something you’ve experienced and are now trying to project onto men as a gender. The part about you arriving at some of these reve…

This is honestly the main reason I’m subbed on here. There aren’t many subreddits where you can find such diametrically opposed views coexisting. It’s interesting.

I don’t know if a man who sleeps around would exactly be LTR material either. I don’t think it’s about men vs women, rather than it being a pretty normal reaction to not consider a person who sleeps around a lot (regardless of gender) as a good candidate for a monogamous relationship.

If the issue is the risk of minors accessing it, make sure to put age restrictions in place. If the issue is the fact that it objectifies women, yeah, porn is inherently objectifying, whether you’re a man or a woman. Conversely, the Bible and the Quran portray women as their husband’s property, besides promoting all sorts of other vile shit, and those two religions actually influence legislation in many countries, so if they want to start censoring stuff, they can go ahead and start there, let u…
