I think you did a good job in your post, it was great to read and always good to see others who've read some Taoism on here. I'm a big fan of Taoist philosophy (in fact if you look back through my history, you'll see I've written a couple Tao of Pooh posts in TRP myself). Buddhism gets mishandled quite a lot though, misrepresented either as pessimistic or religious. Neither represent what buddhism is really about, which is at its essence living a good life by attending to reality.

That's half-true. Buddhism acknowledges life's suffering as inevitable and teaches us to be unattached to pleasures and unperturbed by pain, which would otherwise lead us to more suffering. It's certainly not as pessimistic as Hoff makes it out to be, in fact it's incredibly optimistic in the sense that we are all capable of coming out of our suffering by acknowledging reality as it is. Either way, big fan of Hoff and Tao of Pooh. The book changed my life.

not giving a fuck means giving a fuck about the right things. The red pill is that the things worth giving a fuck about are not the things we might believe. Relationships are one of the most important aspects of life. But relationships built from a place of weakness and neediness and seeking 'spiritual connection' have the process ass-backwards.

Agreed, different perspectives. It doesn't need to be either of those things. When you know how to manipulate you can prevent yourself from being manipulated. It's a very useful skill to have. Edit: You can prevent being manipulated in a way you wish not to be. You can also allow yourself to be manipulated in a way that benefits you. Both are very useful

Will it lead to long term fulfillment and connection with a woman on a deep spiritual level? Nope. How do you know? Being a dominant man who doesn't give a fuck is a pretty damn good way to build real connections and emotions with people. Also, if deep spiritual connections are your goal, you're not going to be outcome independent. You'll start caring too much about reaching that goal and become needy. I personally can't stand that characteristic in other men and it makes them seem like a whiny …

It's giving a fuck about the wrong (or the right) things. A weak man gives a fuck about the wrong, actualised men about the right. The post reads like a man who was focusing on the wrong things realising the truth. Doesn't mean he doesn't give any fuck at all, just that he doesn't give a fuck about what he thought he should. You can be nice and do all those things, so long as they are from a place of strength. You can do whatever you want from a place of strength. If you are kind without strengt…

this is the last line of that post: You give a fuck by not giving a fuck. By being true to your male role, you honor her female role. Tell me that that's not a level of kindness only achievable by a self actualised man
/r/TheRedPill04/06/17 11:50 PM

because the idea of kindness you have in your mind is just appeasement, or being non-confrontational. This man realised if he takes care of what he wants he is able to do something for another person. He gave her the hard fucking that she wanted. He stopped caring about all the things he thought he should care about (i.e. being 'kind') and gave her what they actually wanted (i.e. an aggressive, decisive, no-holds-barred fucking). That is kindness. Did he hit her? did he do anything to her that v…

I have a wife. Because I'm a man and I need to be the leader in our relationship, I manipulate her feelings so that she knows she can trust me and my judgements. This works out well for everyone. We have a child. Because I'm smarter and more experienced than him, I manipulate him so that he doesn't get hurt or killed. Manipulation isn't some big evil thing. It's what you do every single day. If you treat it as some underhanded dishonesty then you're a pussy. I tell my wife and will tell my son e…

Perfect is the enemy of good. Is TRP perfect? Of course not. But it is a force for good in many people's lives. And TRP is not limited to the worst aspects of people, but it is most certainly aware of them. In this space we talk about leading and being the best you can be. We also talk about a range of other issues. I don't see TRP as being entirely a reactionary movement. That's what the MRA groups are. If you said the exact same comment in that space I would agree with you. TRP is a better mov…

We don't spend our lives in TRP mate. But in this space, on this subreddit, we can have the conversation in any which way is effective. And goddammit if it isn't effective. In my place of work, I reason with them, I talk with them, we're all on the same side (so long as I don't say anything mean about women or point out that most of their feminist ideas are entirely misandrist). It's perfectly acceptable for women to berate and belittle men though, to call us the enemy, to call us the opposition…

Feminism is rooted in the fabric of western society. The red pill springs as a reaction to that. TRP provides the space for men to share knowledge, grow, mature, become better, and talk about real shit that really affects them so they can be better at taking on the world. The world as it is. If you think that's a swing too far, then you don't see how insidious and damaging western feminism has become. You think it's too far for men to talk about their perspectives without being moderated or care…

Haha, feminism is trying to deconstruct programming. Dude, you're hilarious. I'm about to finish my PhD in psychology. TRP has just about the closest thing to real talk about the human condition I know about. It's real practical advice based on observation and experimentation. It's not perfect, but it's a far cry better than the bullshit feminist fantasy world that has absolutely no fucking idea about how the world, or the human mind, works. No. I said you make me sick. I also said the Red Pill is a natural consequence of understanding people as both groups and individuals. Remember, this is a sexual strategy sub and some people need that leg up to not be treated like shit. Your argument is nothing but platitudes and truisms. That's why your argument is baseless, I'm just pointing it out to you.

Nothing and noone here says people aren't people. But to understand an individual and all their nuances, it helps to know more about the bigger picture. Your post reeks of insecurity and faggotry, and you're projecting onto us that we are those things. No. We aren't (we're all snowflakes, remember?). Get rid of your fantasies about how you think people should act and understand how they do act. Understand why. Then you won't be pushed around or treated like shit. Call it manipulation if you want…

You also learn that people as a whole have very predictable patterns of behaviour, and this also applies to yourself. If you learn it, try to understand it, and share your knowledge with others so they can learn... voila! You have The Red Pill

See, again, you're straw manning what I'm saying. It's not whether men (or you seem to think I) I feel threatened by women in male spaces. It's irrelevant. What is relevant is males don't have any space they can call their own. And it's objectively bad for male bonding and performance. Have you ever played on a mixed gender sports team? The quality is vastly inferior and has nothing to do with being 'threatened'. It's a fact of performance and quality. To your final point, there's value in ackno…

You kinda missed the point of my reply. Each man should self actualise, and take responsibility enough to do so - fine, no argument. That's a separate question to whether male spaces and male groups are being eroded (they are) and the effect that has on men in our culture. Male space is being actively demonised, and it's working against men in our culture. We are being divided and conquered. It's worthwhile for men, then, to seek out and embrace male spaces. More than that, to actively discourag…

True point, but this is something that's probably overlooked a lot. Every single male-space in our society has a target on its back. Companies, sports, even the military and police forces are being gender-balanced. I agree with OP, and if we started pushing back against gender quotas, and started pushing for male spaces, we would probably have a good place to gain momentum. The best thing is that there are so many fronts for which push-back is ripe for the picking. Take the bullshit idea that gi…

Fair. If you've gone too far down the rabbit hole you could feel a drastic sense of loss. Maybe seeing it early helps moderate some negative reaction. Edit: I mean blue pill rabbit hole. If you've been immersed in fantasy for too long, you'll feel a loss when exposed to reality

Why do you assume that seeing reality is negative? I found it to be a wholly enlightening experience understanding why my expectations were different from my experiences. Some people get mad because they were lied to, and that sucks. But on the whole I think understanding reality gives you greater ability to have real and meaningful relationships of whatever kind you choose, and that's a positive thing.

I would be very interested if you had general advice on the question posed above: How do you deal with the fact that growing and being a great person also means there are fewer and fewer interesting women to choose from? This isn't true. A man's options increase with his SMV. I had the same experience. I thought to myself "I'm a good looking guy, athletic, intelligent, great friends and social life, I should be getting lapped up, I'm even nice--what a catch I am!". I could get interest and the odd lay, but women tended to move on pretty quickly and I couldn't figure out why. Once I started looking at women's behaviour toward me objectively, stopped supplicating and was more assertive, the difference was night and day. Women would beg me to fuck them and try to win my…

There is also the possibility that you're not being congruent and that is driving off women, not because you're too good for them. Women want to date up, so being in the top x percent only increases your chances. If women are feeding you a bullshit line like "you're too good for me" they're either shit testing you or they see through your appearance to your blue core. Humble yourself and you'll probably find that women are running from you, not because you're too good, but because they sense nee…

This article lacks nuance. You're clearly in the anger phase right now, which is fine, we all go through it. What you haven't conveyed is how the equal rights movement misconstrues what equality means, which is equality of opportunity and not outcome. Instead you've ranted about some strawman women who have better lives than you, revealing your lack of options and your anger. This is a rant about your current life and some fictional women. It's regularly stated around here that the ideal man for an LTR demonstrates a mix of alpha and beta qualities. The problem is a calibration issue for most guys. Women want a primarily alpha guy who provides some level of comfort, not a primarily stable guy who provides some level of dominance. That's why most of the advice is to become more confident / dominant / alpha first. Once you are the top of the social hierarchy you can have your pick of women. If you choose to follow a LTR strategy the…

As with anything, it's not what you say but how you say it. Everyone's human and will have a knee jerk reaction to your tone. Also remember that people come here to be unplugged, but most haven't figured it out yet. Until they do they'll be contributing to the noise in the echo chamber.

I'm glad to see some Taoist philosophy on TRP. IMO, taking the red pill is far far more than learning simple sexual strategy. It's about unplugging from all the different types of social bullshit we're fed. Taoists are unplugged in the truest sense; they see the world for all its absurdity and just accept things as they are. Trying to change the world will bring neither happiness nor satisfaction. Understand that the world is as it is, and know that you can be you. When you stop seeing the world…

At some point you'll have to start a conversation - that's a given. If she strikes up the first conversation it can work against you because you immediately take a more passive role, so it's helpful for you to strike up a conversation of interest to you. But there's a difference between a bold, confident approach, and a comfortable approach. I'd suggest avoiding hanging off your SO too much because she'll need to be chatting with everyone. The easiest way is to just engage her friends as much as possible. If you get chatty early on with them then your girlfriend is free to move about knowing you're not depending on her attention. It'll be social proof that you're comfortable with a large group of girls at a nice club. Also, if she gets approached and sees you're not affected, she'll shrug them off and come back to you.

nah i think that person is actually OK in drawing the conclusions they drew about gender disparity. The sample may not be powerful enough to represent the bitcoin population, but when you consider that 93% of 1000 respondents were male, it's reasonable to draw conclusions about gender disparity. Statistically speaking, a 93% disparity on a binary scale indicates a reliable difference. Edit: 93%
