Perhaps speaking on behalf of everyone was a mistake. At the very least, I am willing.

It's a fucking game. Do you think the attempted rape scene in the new Tomb Raider is just another cog in "rape culture"? I don't think it is, and neither is this. It's a game with it's own unique plot which can be construed to fit what ever cause you believe in.

Perhaps some people already know how to treat people with respect and dignity. Not everyone needs a situation like this to "open their eyes". What sucks is having friends whom you've protected and supported look at you like you're crazy when you express discomfort. Maybe you can learn something from this.

Fuck this shit. Reminds me of when my friends and I went to a bar and grill and were harassed none stop by a group of older women. All of the girls we were with were cracking up and thought it was hilarious, but all of us guys wanted ( and did ) to leave. To have someone ignore you and view your body as a toy they can play with is disgusting, regardless of which gender you are. This has happened at least 5-6 times and our friends reactions are always the same, even after speaking to them about i…

As long as you attempt to work this out through proper channels I think you're okay. If you've documented that nothing has been done to resolve this situation, I can only assume that the higher ups will be alright with you contacting them.

There is nothing wrong with preparing for the worst case scenario. He can gauge whether his relationship can continue or not, all we can do is provide some advice in case it doesn't. Maybe you're right.

He should not have made those threats. I can't say what I would have done if I were in his shoes, but it's still it's not a good idea to yell things like that.

When my mother asked me to treat my sister more like a lady. My sister that would beat up bully's that picked on me as a kid... It just did not compute as a kid and it doesn't compute now. -Side Note- My mother vanished into the night without letting my father know. He was a huge piece of shit that never payed child support... My mother did a fantastic job on her own and never complained once, even though she should have (Worst father ever, seriously).

It totally is, and yes you could be 100% right. The problem is, what if you're wrong. Defining someone based of a small snippet of their personal life isn't wise. Any one of us on our worst days could seem like a completely awful person. If we jump the gun and fill in the blanks with what we think fits, it could blow up in our faces. I'm just saying that slowing down, asking questions, and then moving from there is the best route, for everyone.

How can you expect others to take you seriously if you're tossing around insults. This guys opinion goes straight into the gutter once he resorts to petty insults just to get a point across, especially when the person on the receiving end is making an attempt to better themselves. "But I don't see OP seeing the light or "amazing" as people have stated because she learned that the way she handled fights was immature and childish. But okay, since she is a women that supports MR, we'll let this pas…

You sound just as bad as SRS. You have a right to you're opinion, but calling some a "brat" because it took them longer to figure themselves out is a little over the top. You're calling someone immature while treating them with little to no respect... That's pretty immature.

You can't fault people for learning something new. Society doesn't exactly paint the picture for everyone. Whether someone learns today, or last year does not matter at this point. As long as they learn its alright.

How does this contribute in any way? This was about a women who went out of her way to put herself in our shoes. She learned a lot of things that some men fail to grasp. Your comment is "yawn" worthy.
